Yes I know I broke the order. X'D
1.) Over protected daddy was created on a whim for an rp to spice some things up. Harper originally did not have parents, when I first created her she lived with her grandparents by a sea-port.
That has long since changed and now she has parents but probably no grandparents lol.

2.) So this is a weirder, fact but Jim's resentment towards his daughters with other men was actually inspired by Emperor Charlemagne.
"Although he appeared to be a liberally progressive father (at least for Carolingian tastes), Charlemagne never allowed his daughters to marry. He feared that competing heirs to his throne would distort his intended legacy and rule"

Charlemagne loved his daughters very much, and treated them very well if I remember correctly. But he was a no no on marriage and boys. X'D
Other random facts about Emperor Charlemagne, his favorite dish was roast beef. (Not sure if that applies to Jim)

3.) Jim is a rancher and often times he has to leave home for extended periods of time to do cattle drives. He grows some of his own stuff too, but primarily focus on cattle.

4.) Remnant of war times, he doesn't talk about it much but he is a retired soldier. (Not quite revered as a hero though, I want to save details on that for later.)

5.) Coincidentally, they're are a lot of similarities between him and my late grandfather. Though I can't say if I intended it or not, it just kinda happened haha.

6.) Child baby Jim was inspired by Huck Finn, yeehAw.

7.) His name is a reference to "Don't Mess around with Jim." By Jim Croce.

8.) Jim's and Harper's relationship is meant to reflect something more of Father/Son then Father/Daughter.
(Perhaps because he views her as a son he doesn't have/probably doesn't want. Lol)
Bonus fact: I said this in Rip's but Jim Frank rattle snake venom. Poor boy.

Are there any specific charas you'd like me to draw? I'm still not incredibly comfortable with drawing humans (at least not other peoples', yet) so I'd prefer a creature of some sort. XD

I don't mind what platform you use, if you wanna try it on tablet then go ahead. :D Do you want me to use tablet or DS, or is either fine? Keeping in mind that I might upload the tablet version to DA--

re- ahh yeah i can understand sometimes. But i just love science, so i have different subjects piled high on my list haha. wish we could've talked more about being inside a criminals mind or other psychologists buuuuttt due to the circumstances, it isn't ideal. I have to practice for that exam too, and time myself eeee.
I totally forgot eels!! but i love them ;v; maybe i should add some aspects of eels? hmmmm...

Re: yeah, I've had a few wind their way into my lore. Mainly bad stuff though. However, since a lot of my Lore is based on the sky, it's pretty obvious but then I just make a story of it and fit it in somewhere. It's kinda fun!

i can definitely see the language of the subject being the most complicated part. It's like looking something up and down something, then you see the finer details. But in the end, it's just one big idea.. like a sum in a way?? that sounds kinda weird sorry heh ^^'
never really did have a thing for math, but i love science?? i remember when i was sooooo obsessed with dinosaurs, i wanted to become a paleontologist. But science and math go hand in hand in various ways, it's a bit weird that i don't love both equally.
Having a plan is very good! yesyes. Ya never know what may happen. I also wanted to be an animator, buuuuut i found that it might be pretty hard to be noticed out there since art is competetive. I hope all goes good for you in your plan :D

re- isn't it funny how all these major subjects are connected somehow?? i find that to be so cool. Physics and calculus is such a good example aaaa.
I mean, there's actually some parts of math that i found interesting. I think imaginary numbers were the thing to kinda peek my interest, seeing how if we were to pull up a grid.. it can be manipulated in many ways. Also, math and astrology! heheh.
I think art in history is reaaaaaallllyyyyy cool... and also helpful haha.
We always wonder why we learn things that seem unimportant, but secretly we use them everyday >:)
