also before you wonder how two dudes have child(ren); mint, the chao, is by adoption, and cocoa /is/ biological but puffball reproduction is v different from ppl n such
any two puffballs (IF both are ok with it n have/are the maturity/age for it) can wish for a child via holding hands n maybe getting cuddly, and then their wish will turn into a shooting star that falls from the sky a few weeks later
then, once the star arrives to them, a few more weeks of taking care of the star and it turns into a baby puffball
that's the simple explanation of it
