If you look at any of my drawing of Dreamer you probably Noticed the on a Dreamer Noses you can't see a clear nostrale holes Area and has cause some confusion.

Typically on Creature the nostrale holes are on the front of the snoot, dogs, deer, Horses ect... so it is expected seen I never said or explained Dreamer snoots.

(I'll use Catch as an example, true form)

I'm sure you all have noticed when I draw his face the gold part I make a hook Towards the front of the Noses? That little bump is why you can't see the nostrale holes, it's an Guard and the nostrils are actually tucked in behind it so from most angles you can't see the nostrils.

This guard helps keep dirt, water and other things from getting up there nose, exactly when running.

This guard also makes it very difficult to break a Dreamer nose because the front of their faces is mostly bones, note they is Muscle over the bone and some Cartlidge so they can still make Facial expression.

If you look at the top right Dreamer skull you see I made a Blue outline that is the shape of the front of the Noses and how the Guard is.

Because the Nostrils are on the side of a Dreamer snoot they smell off to the side instead of in front of themselves, This doesn't make the Dreamer nose good at tracking, in fact Despite having a long snoot Dreamer Sense of smell is ruffly about the same as a humans. Unlike a dog or other Creatures with long Snoots were the Center of their face is were Their nasal cavity is, given them much more Sensitivity to smells, Dreamer centers face dose not have their nasal cavity, theirs is on the side of their face just like their Nostrale hold are, ( so instead of having Sinus pain right above the eye like humans do they have sinus issues below the eye) this free up the Dreamer centers part of their face for what its meet for Dreamers.

The centers face on a Dreamer act like a Solar panel for Dreamer to Absorb emotions from others, their centers face has magic Sensitive nerves that Channel to the gemstone on their Forehead, this is what makes gemstone on the forehead the most sensitive to emotion out of all their Pearls. Its why even with the Curse of the Nightmare on them a Dreamer forehead gemstone is the only one to be able to Sense and share Sense and share emotions when Touch.

Note to remember: before the Curse of the Nightmare Dreamer could since and share others emotions without Needing to touch them but after the Nightmare curse Dreamer lost this ability and only can do it with the gemstone on their forehead. This ability to share emotions is a very Personal gesture and is only done with people who are close to them.

Going back to side nose again, because Dreamer don't have very good since of smell in their true form its common for Dreamer fawns to have Picked an alternate form with a snoot in the front of their face to explore smells better.
Dogs, cats, Horses, deer, etc...

That's the info on Dreamer Snoots you never know you wanted to know, why they got funny looking nose and the Pros and cons of them.

But many people didn't realize this and was given Dreamer snoot dog, Horse or deer Noses, it actually didn't bother me that why I never said anything but then I was left with a Dilemma, everyone Except me was drawing Dreamer Snoots this way and my friend had Pointed that out. So I did this lore post, however most probably will be in the same boat as my friend and think a nose on the side of the face is wired even though it makes sense for the species why its like that. ( and I'm not going to ask people to change their style in how they draw Dreamers)

I never was to worry about this different in Nose because I already had come up with explain why some Dreamer have different Placement of nostrils holds, its because most Dreamer in Present day have some mixed blood in them somewhere down the family line and some Dreamers have Inherited Nostrils in front of the Nose guard instead of tucked behind it.

Dreamer who have nose like this have less bone in the front of their snoot and more Cartilage their, much like ether dogs, Horses and deer.

Dreamer with snoot like this have better smelling then Dreamer who have the Normal snoot however their ability to since emotions is less do to were the Nezel cavity is now located down the Center of the face making less room for their magic Emotion nerves System.

( not that Dreamer can since emotions like they use to anyway, thanks Soledormir)

It also Easier to get stuff up the nose this way.

So there 2 different snoot shapes both with their Pros and cons, so those who have Dreamer you can do their snoot ether way you think fits your Dreamer or style.

Here a little extra bonus info.
I know I Brought up before about Dreamer their mouth but I'll do a Refresher. Dreamer have more dog like mouth then they do with Equus, they have a roll of Pointed teeth in the front followed by the canine teeth( the long ones, if you didn't know what the longer ones were called) after those there a few more smaller point teeth that go into a roll of Molars.

Dreamer are omnivore, they can eat both plants and meat just like humans, and just like humans there be Dreamer who favorite one over the other as some cool with both, it just depends on the Individual.

Now something to remember is even though Dreamer look like Animals does /not/ mean that they are, they don't like eating Raw meat ( if they did they need their Heart reflecting checked out ASAP for Nightmare syndrome)

Dreamer are more like people were they like cook food, Seasoned and paired.
