I- Raph was inspired from Rossiu (Gurren Lagann) and Connor (ACIII) in ways.
2- Raphael is a Pureblood Unicorn but not a typical one, his magic is /very weak/ and he doesn't have any of the abilities that a usual Pureblood has.

3- He tried to assassinate royalty in a misguided attempt at doing something good... this is when he and Marcus crossed paths and when Marcus lost his left eye.
4- Raph blushes very easily and hates it to no end. Merely talking about some things makes him nervous and gets his face heated up. (Talking about his art, for example)

5- Raph is the eldest of 8 and did /a lot/ of babysitting in his teen years, looking after not only his younger siblings but other kids as well. He's very good with kids as a result.
6- He's one of my favorite chars!

7- Raphael and Marcus are opposites in many ways but are very similar in some ways too. I associate both of them with the same two colors: sky blue and orange.
8- Some of my pony chars represent things, Raph happens to represent loneliness and belonging nowhere...

Heeey it's Raph! I always thought he was interesting, he seems like a quiet, mysterious character which I love.
Babysitting that many siblings doesn't sound fun. XD
