Its a very well mystery, in Japan onenineninefive or onenineninesix (year is not clear for me) the year Pokémon RED & GREEN came out in Japan and other countries (The music has been fully re-edited at the Pokémon ghost city Lavender Town in other countries) and in Japan, after the kids entered Lavender Town the kids went mad after hours at playing, they heared screaming in their heads and (not sure) DIED! GameFreak or Nintendo had destroyed the games completely and re-edited the whole game!

Now, many versions (which are veeery near the original in Japan which doesnt exist) are to be found on youtube, and if you have FL Studio or another compatible AudioEditor then look at the spectogramm, you will see there after few minutes a ghost, and another few minutes later the ghost again with the letters: L E A V E N O W In FL Studio open Edison and open the downloaded youtube version of Lavender Syndrom then click on the little icon (waveform) then it changes to the view of a Spectogramm, at another AudioEditors you will find it out yourself!
