^ i gotta disagree with that lol, spiders wont hurt you unless you hurt them first. if you find them in the house theyre generally easy to get take outside unless it's a fast one that nyooms up under something and hides.

ive handled too many spiders to even try to count and ive never been bit so i know this pretty well.

id honestly be more comfortable with a black widow than i would with some dogs, i know the widow wont bite me as long as i respect it, i cant be sure with a dog.

bugs are honestly super misunderstood by most people

most bugs/arthropods (since spiders arent buggos) wont bite you if you are gentle with/respectful of them. people dont know how to handle them gently/are nervous with them (or are straight up mean to them) and that's when issues pop up with them.

now, sometimes (not often in my experience) a bug can be pissed off and will be much more short tempered or will be aggro from the start but that's /very uncommon/, ive only had it happen to me twice and both were last year (i found an angry mantis that dud a threat pose at me and struck at me and there was a bumblebee that hated me for no reason lmao i did nothing to her and wasnt near a nest yet she chased me and stung me 3 times)

but that's only happened twice out of /thousands/ of bug/arthropod interactions for me (ive sought bugs out every chance i got since i was at least 3)

a bug will respond to things much like a dog or cat, the way /you/ act toward them dictates how they--

--respond to you, only from what ive seen theyre more consistent than dogs or cats so i trust them more than a dog or cat.

bugs are the one subject i always have /a lot/ to say on and am very... passionate about, moreso than anything else i know of

ive got this bitterness in me for the double standard toward them vs other animals (bug bites someone, "AAAAAA KILL IT KILL IT NOW KILL THEM ALL" a dog or cat bites someone, "it's misunderstood! dont hurt it!" it makes me boil.) so im quick to mention things lol

I'm not really afraid of spiders "biting" me per say, cause ik the poisoness spiders don't live in my parts i just don't like the way they look; I'm moreso just scared of their appearance. T<T
But my older sister just FEARLESSLY picks up spiders/centipedes without a single care and i'm just like "wot? how? They're creepy cRaWlIeS"

But i do hate wasps because they ruined my last day of summer at the pool (two years ago or so) by chasing me and my brother around. lol
