Creature Sheet Dragonus by Sybor
So, I have characters that go with this, but I thought you guys could come up with your own. All dragonus have scales instead of hair and bare an element. There are pegasi, unicorn, and ponies. Alicorn do not show up in this species. Sorry. ^u^ Check the layers for more information.

What sort of element combinations can there be? Are there any Dragonus' who don't have any element, or does it show up with age like a cutey mark? Can they have JUST a secondary element and lack a primary? What are their manes made of (long thin scales, or normal hair, or something else)? Can they breed with other Dragonus' or ponies, or are they sterile like real world mutants? Is mutant even the right word for them..? I'm sure I don't NEED to know these things, but as a world-builder I can't help but be fascinated! Also, I'm gonna draw one, so it helps to know what I'm getting into. So exciting, and awesome that you drew this up!

Seven secondary elements are known by the dragonus themselves, but there are endless possibilities out there. i.e.: Lightning is a combo. of fire and wind. Magic just exists, but isn't known as a primary element. There could be unmarked dragonus out there, it's just tough to tell who is and who isn't one. Bloodlines don't exist. If you're born one, then you are one. No one knows why. Most are born from an egg, but not all of them. Magnus knows more about his own kind than anyponyelse. He's been around for several thousands of years searching them all out. I'll draw the known dragonus element by element later so you can see the difference and learn about them.

Oh, yeah. They are marked by their element. It comes to them when they need it most. As for the hair. Most dragonus are made up of scales, but that may not be the case for most of them. Even your best pony pal may be a dragonus. It's tough to say for sure, but dragonus live to be thousands, even a million years old. One thing IS known, no alicorn can be a dragonus. Dragonus can only comand their element and no other. Secondary elements are the only ones who break this rule, but are impossoble to find.
