1. He is the king of a tribe that lives in a desolate mountain range. A mysterious curse placed on the tribe causes all of its Dragon Kings to suffer horrible nightmares every time they sleep, for the rest of their reign. Any injuries sustained in these nightmares are real - which is why Draorture has so many scars, and also why most Dragon Kings don't survive very long. (Compared to the natural lifespan they're supposed to have.)

2. His species are carnivores. However, because of Draorture's grisly nightmares, he sometimes just can't stomach eating meat. Therefore, he trained himself to be able to digest plant matter as well, and resorts to this whenever meat isn't an option.

3. Eating any kind of dairy products would make him sick. He's basically lactose intolerant.

4. The runes on his metal collar (which is a symbol of his royal status) spell out 'DRAGON' in his tribe's alphabet. I actually designed runes for the entire alphabet, but I only memorised how to write this one word.

5. He once murdered a baby dragon's mother so that he could kidnap the baby and raise it to become the next king, taking his place. The tradition of his tribe is that only Black Dragons can become kings, and that baby was one of the few in existence at the time.

6. He has a sharp metal blade attached to the end of his tail to use as an extra weapon. He's pretty slow due to his age and injuries, and his tail is one of the fastest parts to move, so he made someone fit the blade there.

7. He's missing about two inches off the end of his tongue, which has a slight effect on his speech, making it harder for him to pronounce certain sounds.

8. His name is a portmanteau of 'dragon' and 'torture'. Don't ask me how you're supposed to pronounce it. XD

I always love the idea of marking an/alphabet/language, but it seems like work.
I'll just stick to dead languages like Greek, Gaelic, and Latin. X'D
Also because I took Latin hehe, kinda want to get better at it though hmmmm.
