'Taming' and Ethorus is not an easy task to accomplish. You either have to bond with them from a young/early age or gain their complete and utter trust.
Rider will often ware a specially made pair of goggles that dims the blinding light of and Ethorus' fiery mane. Riders don't have to worry about getting burnt as and Ethorus' mane will only burn what they choose to burn.

There are many types of riding gear one can choose from, including armors suited for battle.
