so i was chillin in the kitchen about 2O minutes ago when i suddenly heard this ominous screeching and felt a rumbling in the ground
the screeching kept going on and on for a while before i realized it was a train (there's a traintrack just a block away from my house) due to hearing a train whistle
ive never heard a train's wheels screech so aggressively on the track before though... or felt a rumble
maybe it was a rlly large train?? lmao

i also heard it again while posting this, sounded much further away now tho
i can't quite see the tracks directly from my house, but i know they're there
trains go by almost daily so im used to hearing sounds from em, ive just... never heard an ominous wheel(?) screeching from one, not that i remember anyway

my family used to live near a military training area so loud booms and other house shaking noises kinda just became the norm
we hear bangs in the distance, feel some tremors and were just like
"The house shook again."
"Yep."

the traintracks that used to be where i live were taken up before i was born (iirc) and ive only ever lived in one place so i have no experience with this
it sounds annoying
