In my other RP (which lasted 2 and a half years) I remade my main character's ref like... 4 times? I never stay satisfied with them for very long. XD

There's always that nagging feeling of "it could be better..."
So eventually i kinda stop doing refs :U
Which is actually kinda bad lol. I have a lot of character designs to redo...

I kinda have no choice but to make refs; I often commission art of my characters on other sites and the artists need refs to work with.

So I just remake them when they start to look really bad, usually a month or two later. XD

ooo yea, I don't have people draw my characters often so refs aren't that big and immediate. Though I should do them more to get better ideas of designs instead of letting it sit in my head..

One problem with doing refs is that sometimes you might want to edit the character's design afterwards, but can't because you have to stick to what you put on the ref. So if you like messing with your designs a lot, then that can get annoying.

Oh yea definitely! There's always something I want to change, I think the only character to stay semi consistent is Harper?

Yep, I don't often consciously edit my characters, but I often find that they slowly evolve over time anyway. XD It might be because I sometimes forget parts of their designs and change them without meaning to.

Hmm, it's been nearly an hour since I posted this, so I think I might go ahead and write the first post? We'll keep things slow until the others show up so they don't get left out, but I don't think it'll hurt to start without them.

My favourite part of redoing refs is probably comparing them to the old ones, it's nice to see the improvements. X)

It was a busy night in East Caelum. As eight PM came and went, bars and clubs all over town started filling up with people, while entertainers made their living by performing for the locals. The roads were thick with traffic, filling the night with the sound of honking car horns.

In a small bar called The Crow's Eye, a rather conspicuous pair sat at the bar, sipping their drinks. One, a brown-haired woman with a guitar case slung across her back; the other, a man with long red hair and a bright green tailcoat.

'Stal coming yet?' the man asked, gazing hopefully towards the door.

The woman shook her head. 'I texted him a minute ago. He said he's been held up.'

(Question, where is the beach located? :P )

( And nah dw, lots of my lore started by making things up as it goes X'D

About two miles away from the Crow's Eye, an old car sat idling in a traffic jam that seemed to stretch on for eternity. The driver, a grey-scaled dragonman wearing a leather jacket, didn't look happy. The skeletal dragon sitting curled up in the back seat looked even less so.

'I don't think we're going to make it in time for the gig,' said Gray, breaking the silence.

Stal said nothing. He just gazed out the window. //We can't screw this up,// he thought, helplessly frustrated. //This is the best opportunity to show off our skills that we've had in years.//

(Hmm well, if you look at the map I made, there's basically a beach running all the way around the edge of the city. XD So there's beach in almost every direction.
If that's what you were asking?)

The hustle and bustle from the city could be heard from the shores of East Caelum. Three figures had just arrived on the beach. Euterpe stood with a blank stare at the city, the dragoness was already on the sand while her friend Shepherd was in the water pulling the small boat towards the land. A peppy young mutt sat inside, eager to feel have his paws feel the new grounds.
Shepherd slipped and fell into the water submerged for only a second before coming up for air.
Euterpe turned her head at the commotion and met eyes with him.
"You know, I'd get this down faster if you helped push the boat over towards those rocks." Shepherd grumbled.

Euterpe took a breathe and sighed before wadding over to help with the boat.
Once the boat was in, Shepherd began working on anchoring.
"There, I think this is a good place to hide it. What do you think?"
"For now, you don't plan to enter the city do you?" She replied a little disgruntled

"Well sure, I can check it out while you stay here and watch- Marco? Where's Marco?" Shepherd's heart jumped as he noticed his little dog missing. A trail on the sand led towards the city. "Oh no." And he gave Euterpe a desperate look before running after the dog.

Euterpe adjusted her wings in panic as she watched her friend run off. "Wait, where are you going! Shepherd!"

Walking down a street was the last member of Stal's currently-not-united band, a wingless dragon-like creature named Arc. He was moving sedately, admiring his surroundings, not seeming to care very much that he was running late.

Just then, he hesitated, pausing and tilting his head. The eastern beach lay nearby, and he could've sworn he just heard a panicked yell coming from it. //Mm... probably nothing. You hear a lot of yelling and shouting around here.// Dismissing the sound, he continued to make his steady way towards the Crow's Eye.

All while Shepherd and Euterpe were in pursuit of their beloved, or troublesome pet (Depending on who you ask. )
Marco was thinking about his stomach he was hungry, very hungry, and the smell of street food filled the air. He was on a mission, and nothing would stop him from achieving this MOST important goal.
The dog came upon the traffic jam, curious. Marco had never seen a car before, they looked fun. Not having any brains he bolted across the lane occasionally jumping on the hoods of the cars.

Shepherd spotted what looked to be another dragon. He stopped and called back to Euterpe who was bounding behind him clumsily, her wings made it hard to keep up, and she ended up landing a few times in the sand.
"Hey look! It looks kinda like you!" Shepherd said excitedly, he didn't know much about dragons other than what he had observed from being with Euterpe.
"Maybe he's seen Marco." Before Euterpe could respond Shepherd had already began approaching the other dragon.

"Oh please don't- Shep!" Euterpe yelled

(Hey draco! You're just in time for dog mayhem)

Several of the cars honked angrily when Marco jumped across them, and Gray frowned as he peered out the window, hearing the commotion up ahead but not able to see what was happening.

'What the hell's going on?' said Stal grumpily from the back seat, not even bothering to look up - he'd already resigned himself to being late.

'No idea,' muttered Gray. 'Maybe someone's been in an accident.' Then he spotted Marco dashing across the road in front of him. 'Oh, it's a dog...'

'They're all honking at a dog?' said Stal, unimpressed. 'Tell them to shut up.'

(Is Shepherd approaching Arc?)

Marco began to bark back at any and all cars that dare honk at him. Who did they think they were? Marco thought himself to be top dog here, all this noise, it must be challenge!
He soon came to Gray's car, he hopped on the hood and began to make another run to the next car over. Though his paws gained no traction and he slipped his head plopped on the sleek metal hood. He looked into the wind shield and began barking wildly at Gray.

Arc frowned, hearing more shouting behind him accompanied by the sound of multiple angry drivers. 'What on earth...?' He turned around to see Shepherd approaching him. 'Oh, um, hello,' he said uncertainly, but politely. 'Can I help you?'

(No, but it probably smells of fried chicken, the band members eat KFC in there sometimes. XD
Or whatever this world's equivalent of KFC is.)

'Woah!' Gray exclaimed, slamming on the brakes as Marco leapt onto his car hood. 'Um... what do I do now?'

Stal huffed out a sigh. 'Hold on...' He opened the door and climbed out of the car, walking around to the front. Taking a deep breath, he roared threateningly at Marco, hoping to scare the dog away.

"Yes, have you seen a little greyish dog, his about this size with a rope around his neck." Shepherd said while sounding out of breath, he was still wet from the ocean, and wasn't the cleanest looking boy.
Euterpe called back again and Shepherd turned to see her nudge her head in the direction the sound of dog barks.

Marco backed up a bit as Stal roared, but then immediately snapped at the dragon's snout. He did not appreciate being yelled at all, that was his job to tell others who was boss.

Arc looked Shepherd up and down, a bit concerned for this strange-looking boy who seemed to be drenched in saltwater. 'I don't remember seeing a dog,' he replied. He turned his head in the direction Euterpe was indicating. 'Though from the sounds of it, he tried running across that road.'

Stal jerked his head back to avoid Marco's snapping teeth. Just then, the cars in front of Gray's began to move slowly forwards. It seemed that the traffic jam was clearing.

'Stal!' Gray shouted. 'Get in the car, it's time to go!'

Looking unimpressed, Stal reached out and grabbed Marco by the neck. He then tossed the small dog towards the side of the road, and calmly climbed back into Gray's car.

Shepherd's eyes widened and for a moment he stared at the road examining it a little. He look at Euterpe who was growing impatient then back at Arc. "Th-thank you!" He waved before following the noises.

'Good luck catching your dog!' Arc called out as Shepherd ran off, a little amused. //Stranger things happen in this city,// he thought as he walked up to the entrance of The Crow's Eye, breathing in the warm smells of the little bar.

Marco yelped when Stal grabbed him to hurl him towards the grass. The dog land on the grass but soon prompted himself back up, though this time he started to wail in distress. This was not ok.
After awhile of whimpering and whining, the dog began another attempt at crossing the road.

@Everyone but mostly Xeno and Draco - as shown in my first post, I have Loch and Pyre currently just sitting in the bar, so if you're stuck on who to interact with, they're available.)

Gray hit the accelerator and the old car clunkily began to move forwards. Going as fast as he could without breaking the speed limit, he rushed towards the Crow's Eye.

'We might still get there in time,' he muttered.

'We're too late. The owner's just gonna tell us to come back another day,' grunted Stal.

Shepherd came in and looked wildly around, the mechanical vehicles where new to him to, and he almost screamed when he saw his dog trying to make it across the highway. He made run to grab his dog, but in bad judgement.
Shepherd scooped up Marco, but stood for a moment frozen and confused at the mess of traffic on the road. "What's this?"
Euterpe watched from the sidelines in horror, before a sudden sound of a horn behind her caused her to jump Forward into the streets. She screeched and flapped her wings in panic. Hitting a few cars as she frantically made her way across the road

The cars attempted to avoid Shepherd and Euterpe as best as they could, swerving across the road to stay away from them. However, they continued to honk angrily.

Arc glanced back at the road as he walked, frowning slightly. Concerned that the strange boy had been hit, he hurried across the road, skilfully dodging traffic, until he spotted Shepherd and Euterpe. 'Hey there! Be careful, you can't just go charging across a busy street like that!'

(Ooh yeah that would work, I'll do that probably when I get back on my DS.)

(Ok, I’m jumping in now.)

{On the opposite side of the street from where Marco started, there was a woman walking down the sidewalk. In one hand, she carried a bag of raw fajitas, the smell of the marinade wafting through the air. In her other hand, she held a phone, and was angrily talking to someone.}

Dianne: “Yeah, I got the food. I just don’t understand how we could run out? What do you mean Jackson forgot to order more, we’re a damn active venue, we can’t make these mistakes! When I get back, we’re going to have a conversation that you won’t enjoy.”

.: a group of five bipedal animals had just bustled into the bar(?) and were talking in whispers.

"Alright, simmer down," hissed Adrian, a red fox in a black leather jacket. "You can all go and mingle, maybe have a drink- but remember we have a performance tonight," he told his band. They all mumbled their agreement - apart from Bumble, a dumpy yellow-furred cat, who squealed like a shocked guinea pig.

They all spread out and went their seperate ways after agreeing to meet up in the same spot after a little while. Heading in Loch and Pyre's general direction, Bumble skipped off into the crowds with the smartly-dressed parrot Terry on her tail, intending to keep her out of trouble. :.

Shepherd jumped a little when he heard Arc's voice. "Sorry, my dog -I"
Just then Marco caught sight of something and began to bark wildly again. He wiggled out of Shepherd's arms and made it to the other side. Shepherd tried to follow but he got hit by an oncoming vehicle not enough to kill but enough to knock him out cold.
Euterpe however was the opposite, and in fact caused quite a bit of damaged to the cars on the road. Her eyes were narrowed and it looked as though she couldn't hear anyone clearly. She had made it to the other side of the road as well but took off into the city after hearing the car behind her open a door.

@Draco?

'Good crowd tonight,' Loch remarked, surveying the crowded bar as she sipped her vodka. Pyre eyed her.

'Yeah, there is. But you probably shouldn't drink too much. Stal won't be happy if you're drunk during our gig.'

'That's assuming we even /have/ a gig,' Loch complained. 'Stal, Gray and Arc still aren't here. The bar owner just said that if they don't show up soon, he's going to kick us off the schedule. There's another band performing after us. Dunno who they are, though.'

Arc hurried across the road to where Shepherd lay unconscious. With a worried look on his face, he grabbed the boy and dragged him to the other side of the road to safety. 'Hey, you alright?' he asked in an attempt to wake him up, his sharp eyes examining Shepherd for injuries.

Marco caught a whiff of the food Dianne had and once he caught sight of her he bolted until he was caught up. Marco pranced behind her waiting for Dianne to turn to take a glance.

Arc's attempt to wake him up led to no avail. His friend were out of sight, lost alone, or who knows what. And he was out cold on the grass unable to help, for the time being.

{Dianne turns when she hears both Shepherd getting hit and the sound of the dog trotting up to her. She glances momentarily at the dog, but is more concerned about the unconscious boy who was struck by a car. Hanging up her phone, approaches him and Arc.)

Dianne: “I’ll have to call you back...Hey! Is he alright? Do you need an ambulance?”

.: "Ooh, do you mean us?" Bumble asked, popping up suddenly beside Loch and gazing up at her with huge eyes. "Me and the others are performing here tonight too! Are you gonna be watching?" she asked, giving the young woman a grin.

Terry arrived next to her, huffing a little from the effort of keeping up with the energetic feline. "I'm sure they'll be quite worn out after their show, Melanie," he pointed out gently. He was the only band member who regularly called Bumble by her real name. "They might want to go home and relax." :.

The dog barked angrily when Dianne ignored him. Though when he saw her head towards the street he gave up and began investigating other smells that were within the city.

Arc sighed and looked around desperately. He had no phone, so he couldn't even text his bandmates to tell them what was going on. Nonetheless, he was not wiling to leave Shepherd here alone, out cold and defenceless.

While he was quietly panicking, he heard Dianne approach and ask if they needed an ambulance. 'I'm not sure,' he said. 'I don't think he's injured, he just got knocked out, but I can't just leave him here... I don't know what to do.'

(I love how Marcus doesn't even seem to care that his master just got hit by a car. XD)

(Is it ok if i leave shep out of commission for the moment? I don't want to wake him up just yet :P )

(Marco is a total arse lmao, Euterpe doesn't even know why Shep keeps him. xD
Shepherd also doesn't know how to properly care for his dog rip. )

Loch glanced up as Bumble appeared, surprise showing on her face before it was replaced by eagerness. 'Oh, you're the other guys who are going to perform tonight? I'd love to watch you! What's your band's name? And what kind of music do you do?'

Pyre sipped his tequila, curiously watching the conversation but not wanting to interrupt Bumble and Loch.

( @Alkaline - Yeah sure, I don't mind. X))

Meanwhile Euterpe had made her way into a quiet dark alley way, she had hid herself between a few dumpsters, all but her yellow eyes glowed in the dark. Her mind raced and she breathed heavily, trying to process what had just happened.

Marco however had found the bar, a heavenly smell came from the windows and he eagerly made his way around the building, hoping to find an entrance.

{Dianne looks the boy over. After determining that he's not dead, Dianne sighs.}

Dianne: "He's hit his head pretty hard. He could have a concussion. We should call emergency services."

Gray's car pulled up into the parking lot behind the Crow's Eye, and he and Stal practically leapt out of the car in their haste to get inside. 'We might still have time,' Gray kept repeating under his breath. 'We might still have a chance...'

Stal, meanwhile, had just spotted Marco investigating the bar. 'It's that damned stupid dog again!' he snarled. 'I recognise it.'

'Just ignore it,' Gray advised, hurriedly pulling his friend inside the bar before Stal could attempt to kick Marco, or worse.

Arc looked uncertain. 'I don't have a phone,' he said worriedly. 'Do you mind calling them?'

Marco immediately noticed Stal and Gray, as they entered the bar he slipped through the door just in time. He didn't feel like barking anymore, no there were too many good smells! Marco continued to slink around the floor of the restaurant in search for food.

Luckily, once they were inside the bar, Stal completely forgot about Marco. He rushed up to the counter, found the bartender, and called out to him frantically.

'Are we late? Well, crap, I know we're late, but do we still have time to perform?'

The bartender eyed him levelly. 'You're lucky, Stal. Another five minutes and I would've been forced to kick you off the schedule. We have another band, Clockwork Dove, performing after you. You can still play, but only half of your setlist.'

Stal bristled. 'Like hell I'm only gonna play half of--'

He was stopped by Gray shooting him a serious look. 'We appreciate it,' he said, nodding at the bartender. 'We just need to find our bandmates and then we'll hurry up and perform.' He then dragged Stal off to search for the others.

Dianne: "Yeah, I can handle it."
{She opens her phone and calls and ambulance.}

Dianne: "Hello, yes, a boy has been struck by a car down here on Fifth, a block west of The Crow's Eye...He's unresponsive...No, nothing seems overly broken, no bleeding or compound fractures at least..."

.: "We're a rock band!" Bumble exclaimed. "Clockwork Duck-"

"Clockwork /Dove,/" Terry corrected her, an amused smile on his face - or as much of a smile as his beak could make. "We'll mostly be playing songs from our first album today... but there'll be a few new ones, unless Adrian's changed his mind." :.

(How much food is on the table right now? ;)

Arc stayed crouched beside Shepherd with a concerned expression while Dianne spoke to the emergency services. His mind was spinning. He hadn't expected anything like this to happen. He'd just wanted to enjoy a nice gig with his friends at the bar. With a pang, he realised that he probably wasn't going to get there in time.

( @Alk - I imagine there's plenty of food on everyone's tables, it's a busy bar. XD)

(Rip, Stal is probably going to be pretty mad at Arc, especially when he finds out Marco belongs to Shep. XD 0

'Sounds awesome,' said Loch. 'I've never actually heard of you guys - sorry - but I'm definitely interested in seeing what you've got.' She then reached out to pat Pyre on the shoulder. 'I'm Loch, and this is Pyre, and we're part of a rock band called The Plague! The other members are kinda running late.'

(Yeeeah Stal's not going to be happy when he finds out the reason why Arc is 2 hours late. XD)

Stal and Gray pushed their way through the crowds, scanning the bar for a sign of Loch and Pyre. 'They're supposed to be here,' Stal growled. 'I literally just texted Loch and she said she was here.'

'We'll split up,' Gray suggested. 'It'll be quicker to find them that way.' Before his friend could protest, he slipped off into the crowds, flinching every time he accidentally brushed against someone. While searching, he spotted Marco. //I wonder how long that dog will stay in here before someone has it thrown out?//

{Once Dianne finished speaking with the operators, she closed her phone.}

Dianne: "Ok, they're on their way. Did you see this happen? See the license plate on the car that hit him?"

Arc shook his head, looking a little dazed and distracted. 'No, sorry... it all happened really quickly. I didn't actually see him get hit, I just heard it. I was distracted by his dog running away.'

The dog slink on to a seat at a table with two people engrossed in a conversation. Marco snagged a fresh steak the plate. Naturally the people screamed, but the dog had already skimped off with his new find.

(As we speak the dogs here are bugging my sibs for popcorn :'D )

Gray made a halfhearted grab for Marco when he saw the dog make off with someone's steak, but missed. While he continued looking for his elusive bandmates, a member of security approached the table, having heard someone scream. 'What's going on here?' he asked.

(Oh no. :')
Can dogs even eat popcorn? XD)

(They can sorta, it's not good for them tho? i don't think,,,, wait it might be ok I forget lol. )

"Something has stolen our meal!" One screamed and pointed towards a blurr that was headed for the kitchen. "There! It's over there!"

( plain popcorn is fine, but they can choke on kernels/ it gets stuck in their teeth :P )

The security guard looked around for a moment before spotting Marco. He began to walk quickly and purposefully after the small dog. Meanwhile, another member of staff approached the table and told the customers that she would bring them a replacement meal for free, apologising profusely for the disturbance.

Stal was oblivious to the commotion. He had finally spotted Pyre through the crowds - the colourfully-dressed vampire was hard to miss - and began to move towards him.

(Ahh. :D
I've never had a dog, I have no idea what's safe for them to eat. XD I just know that they like to steal peoples' food--)

( they certainly do, though our husky is the most prominent for that. He ate all the pork for eggrolls one time >:Y
And he has no regrets for that lol. )

The two calmed down and resumed conversation.

Marco meanwhile found a small corner where he could hide and enjoy his steak for the time being.

(My grandparents used to have a dog (can't remember what breed, but she was a big fluffy dog, kinda like a husky). And one day I was over my grandparents' house for Christmas and the dog ate like... an entire box of mince pies off the kitchen counter while nobody was looking. XD)

( yeaaaaa, our husky got 3ounces of dark one time and we had to rush him over to the hospital, there's like a certain weight ratio where they will be ok, but it depends on the concentration of coco.In that case it was not fine haha.)

The security guard investigated the kitchen area, but had lost sight of Marco among the crowds along the way. Eventually, he just warned the kitchen staff that there was a dog loose, and then walked back into the bar to keep a lookout.

(Ohno, I bet the dog was pretty proud of that all things considered XD)

Dianne; "His dog?"

{Dianne looks in the direction she saw Marco run off.}

Dianne: "Damn dog. Well, the police will probably want to speak with us anyway. Hope you don't have anywhere to be."

{Dianne then starts to call someone else.}

Dianne: "Hey, Marjorie, go tell Bufo to meet me in front of the...Uncle Joe's Happy Cow Ranch on Fifth...Well, a kind got hit by a car and I need to wait for the ambulance...I don't care if he scares you, just do it! (Click!)"

*Kid

Arc's face fell, but he didn't say anything about his bandmates. There was no point complaining about how he had places to be, people to entertain; this was much more important. A person's life mattered more than his hobbies. //I can't even tell the others what's going on... they'll have no idea what happened. I really need to invest in a phone...//

(Dw Arc, Shep and Euta are in the no tech club as well! Considering they don't have much a clue on what it is...)

(Arc just never bothered to get a phone since he stays in dragon form 99% of the time, so he doesn't have pockets or anything to carry it in. XD)

(Welp, looks like they're not performing tonight rip. XD)

(I wouldn't put it past some of them to try and do a performance without Arc. XD)

After awhile of being alone in silence Euterpe had finally calmed down. But she was again thrown into panic when she remembered she had left Shepherd. //Oh god, Shepherd, what happened? Ahh it all happened so fast!// She began to climb the walls of the streets hoping to get a better view of where she was, but when she reached the top all she found was a maze of buildings. "I-, where am I?' she whispered outloud.

(Alright guys, so I need to get some food and leave the computer now. As my wifi gets switched off at night, and it's already 11:30PM here, I probably won't bother posting another room tonight, since I wouldn't be able to continue for long anyway.
So we'll pick this up again next Saturday, unless you think we should continue it through the week?)

(Alrighty! Next Saturday should work for me, but I can also try to continue throughout the week if needed, the semester doesn't start till the 21st for me so I'm not super busy yet.)

{After a few minutes, the ambulance arrived, along with the police. The paramedics tend to Shepherd, while the police ask Arc and Dianne for their statements.}

Arc fumbled his way through recounting to the police everything he could remember from the incident. 'And I didn't see their licence plate,' he said afterwards. 'It happened too fast. I think I might've seen the car driving away after it hit him, and it was an orange Volkswagen Polo, but I couldn't see the licence plate.'

While Loch was making introductions with Bumble, Stal and Gray walked up to them.

'Thank god you're here!' Stal growled. 'I've been looking everywhere for you! We've got maybe five minutes to get up on the stage. Where's Arcfire?'

'Uhm...' said Loch. 'He's not here. I thought he'd be coming with you.'

Stal's face fell. 'He's not with you?!'

Gray let out a long, calming breath, anticipating the explosion that was about to happen moments before it did.

'Well, how are we supposed to perform without a drummer?!' Stal said loudly. 'Nevermind, I guess we'll just go home. No point in staying here if we can't even perform. I'm going to be having words with Arc later, that's for sure.'

( @Alk - Once I have some characters free, I might send someone outside and have them encounter Euterpe? Unless you have something already planned for her. X))

{Dianne calmly gave her statement to the officer , mostly just detailing how she didn’t see it happen. Once they had finished, a large man in a mask approached her. He stood a full foot taller than her, and was wearing a very nice suit. The mask was metal, fashioned into the likeness of an animal skull.}

Dianne: “Bufo, good, you’re here. Take these back to the cook, we’ve got a full house to feed. I’ll be there as soon as I can, ok?”

Arc was fidgeting worriedly, not really paying attention to anything the people around him were doing. He couldn't stop thinking about his bandmates, and how they had no idea where he was. When Bufo appeared, Arc eyed him with surprise before glancing at Dianne. 'You don't own a bar or something, do you?'

{Bufo nods, takes the bag, and leaves. Dianne turns to Arc, eyeing him quizzically.}

Dianne: “As a matter of fact, I do. I’m the owner of The Serpent’s Tomb, down on Wabasha street. Why?”

Arc recognised the name of the bar. An idea came into his head. 'Maybe my band and I could play there sometime? Since we probably won't be able to perform at our intended venue tonight... and I'm gonna need a way to get back in Stal's good books after this...'

(Omg Stal, hes gonna kill Arc and knock Shepherd ded x'D )

Marco had finished his steak but was soon found by one of the staff members in the kitchen. There was a loud crash of commotion followed by swears being thrown specifically at the dog. Marco came racing out of the kitchen his paws sliding against the slick floor as he tried to gain traction. The dog proceed to jump on tables allowing for more chaos to erupt as the members as staff pursued him.

Meanwhile Euterpe scanned the city from the roof tops, hoping to spot her friends sometime. Or maybe even the dog. She was surprisingly quiet for her size, her yellow eyes were the only thing give off her position.

(Andddd Shep is still sorta sleeping)

.: Terry cleared his throat politely. "Just a moment," he spoke up, addressing Stal. "If you still want to perform, maybe our drummer could help?" he suggested. "He's over there by that window."

Bumble seemed excited by this and yelled, "Ozzy!* at the scarf-wearing ferret in the corner of the room. Ozzy looked up, nodded slightly, and came over with his hands in his pockets. :.

( @Alk - Nah he wouldn't really hurt anyone, he's just going to be fuming. XD)

'You're a band too?' Stal's gaze travelled over Bumble, Ozzy and Terry. 'Well, I'm guessing you don't know our songs, but if you want to try one of the simpler ones--'

Loch spoke up, her voice concerned. 'Actually, Stal... I was thinking that one of us should go out and look for Arc. I mean, it's really unlike him to be so late. I'm worried something might've happened to him.'

Stal's demeanour softened. 'Yeah, you're right. Listen, how about you, Pyre and Gray stay here and play something with these guys? You can sing, right? And I'll try to find out where the hell Arc went.'

'Yeah, sounds good to me!'

'Have fun. And don't do anything stupid.' Without another word, Stal stomped out of the bar.

Loch turned to the Clockwork Dove members, an excited grin on her face. 'OK, so do you guys wanna try playing one of our songs? We just need Ozzy on the drums and we're all set. I've got some sheet music to show you how the song goes, Ozzy...'

( @Alk - I'll have Stal encounter Euterpe in a second, now that he's left the bar. :D)

The bartender yelled at the security guards and other staff. 'Hey! Get that stupid dog out of my building!'

(Ooo Alrighty! I'mma have them throw Marco out first lol)

Marco's collar caught up against the leg of a fallen chair. Which then gave the chance for the staff to grab him by the scruff. They carried him to the back door of the bar and hurled him out into the streets. "And stay out you mangey mutt!" The door slammed and Marco was out amoung the trash, his joints a bit sore from all the action.
Euterpe's ears picked up hearing the commotion and she watched as they tossed the dog violently. Recognizing it as Marco she came down to catch the canine.
"Marco! Marco Polo!" She called softly while trying to restrain him.
"Shh! Shh! Where's Shepherd? Where is he?" She muttered worriedly but the dog only looked at her strangley.

She sighed. "What good is a dog who isn't loyal?"

Stal made his way out of the bar. Though he had a set goal in mind - finding Arc - he couldn't help but be distracted by the sight of a fellow dragon apparently talking to the flea-bitten mutt who he'd seen earlier. A familiar anger simmered in his chest at the sight of Marco.

'Is that your dog?' he growled, pausing on the street to address Euterpe. 'If it is, then your dog's a pain in the ass, and you should be controlling it better.'

Marco began to bark as Stal adressed them. Euterpe flattened herself a bit.
"No-he's, uh he belongs to my friend. Wait who are you? You know this dog?" Her voice changed from anxiousness to something defensive and maybe even a bit brazen."

She didn't know this dragon, infact she knew no one. The fact that he recognized Marco meant that the dog had caused more than just a little trouble.
Euterpe brought her gazed to the ground and scrunched her face up a bit as she tried to remember the chaos that ensued on the highway. She did hit a few things, come to think of it her right wing did feel a bit sore.

She gasped as a realization of some horror drew itself apparent.
"I have to go." Euterpe stated abruptly. She grabbed Marco's scruff with her mouth and pushed past Stal. (Which was horrid in taste, his fur was not only salty from the sea but it was also covered it god knows what kind of muck he rolled in.)

{Dianne crossed her arms, looking at Arc skeptically.}

Dianne: “Is that so? What’s your band called? We’re booked tonight, but if you want a shot at playing in my place, you’ll have to come over and talk to Stella. She’s in charge of the entertainment venue.”

'I'm Stalgator - hey, don't just walk off!' Stal growled, not at all pleased that Euterpe was leaving so abruptly. He couldn't help but wonder if she and this dog were somehow linked with Arc's disappearance - after all, he had seen the dog several times today, and it seemed to be causing a fair bit of chaos.

He began to follow Euterpe down the street. If she DID have something to do with Arc's disappearance, then he figured that pursuing her might give him some clues. 'I'm looking for a friend who went missing,' he called out. 'A grey dragon called Arcfire. Have you seen him?'

'We're called The Plague,' said Arc with pride in his voice. 'We're kind of little-known, so I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't heard of us... Listen, it doesn't have to be tonight, but I'd really like to schedule a gig at your place sometime soon. Do you think I could come over tomorrow and talk to Stella?'

{Dianne seems to consider this for a moment, squinting at Arc intently.}

Dianne: "Very well. You can come speak to her tomorrow, but before you do, tell me, why can't you perform at your intended venue tonight?"

'Well... we were supposed to perform at The Crow's Eye on Redgrove Avenue, but I missed it because of this... and the bartender is very strict about staying on schedule. He won't let us perform if we're late.' Arc shook his head. 'Don't get me wrong, I know that saving a life was more important. But I can't help feeling that I let my band down.'

The fur(/feathers?) stood up on her back as Stal called to her. A squeak came from Euterpe as she dropped the dog suddenly to instinctively find a place to hide. Though it was no use and she immediately snapped to her senses after she realized hiding would be useless.

"This place is worse than from where we came!" Euterpe complained with a dramatic sound in her voice. "Everything's so /exposed/." She shuddered at that last word before turning to answer Stal.

"Yea, I saw him. My friend asked him where the dog went before we came to the road. After that everything happened so fast. There were these big, loud, clunky- monsters! They're so bright, and -I- I don't recall what happened. I scurried out of sight after getting hit by a few I think...."
She took a small breathe than looked around. "Now I don't where I am, but I don't like it."

Stal looked very confused. //Hasn't she ever seen a city before? Or cars? Is she from some prehistoric world? Dammit, this is NOT how I wanted to be spending my evening...//

'The big loud things on the road are cars,' he said, speaking as if he were explaining something very simple to a young child. 'They're just hunks of metal that people use to travel around in... And as for where you are, this is East Caelum City, Redgrove Avenue. Why don't we go back to the place where you last saw your friend, and maybe you'll be able to find him?' //And I might find Arc too,// he thought.

"I don't care what they're called! Who uses, or even /why/!" She snapped.
"They're- they're evil." Euterpe sneered, as her yellow eyes thinned.
"No, no, I can't go back there- Ahh hold on wait!" She sputtered. Being both visiblyand internally scattered it took her awhile but she finally conceded to the thought. "Fine! If it means finding my friend. Where are we to go?" She asked Stal.

{Dianne nods in understanding.}

"Ah, ok. I only ask because Stella hates it when bands are late. She'll really lose it if you do."

Stal shot Euterpe a derisive look, clearly not impressed by the dragoness's indecisive behaviour or her calling something as normal as a few cars 'evil'.

'How would I know?! I don't know where your stupid friend disappeared...' Then he recalled the commotion when he and Gray had been driving to the bar, with Marco trying to dash across the road. He guessed that, if the dog belonged to Euterpe's friend, then maybe that was where they needed to search.

'Follow me,' he said shortly, and began leading the way back to Garnet Road - the place where Shepherd had gotten hit.

'Don't worry, we're usually on time,' said Arc ruefully. 'Tonight... well, tonight was an exception.' He glanced around. 'Anyway, I need to go to the Crow's Eye and find my bandmates. Even if we've lost our chance to perform, I still need to let them know what happened.'

Reluctantly Euterpe followed but she kept a good distance between herself and Stal. She had Marco by the scruff, he would occasionally bark at random. Euterpe just responded with shaking him a little until he would shut up.

Stal didn't care what Euterpe thought of him, and he certainly didn't care about finding her friend. He just wanted to know what had happened to Arc - and had a strong suspicion that he had gotten caught up in this mess and forgotten about their plans tonight. //I swear, Arc, if you missed our gig to help these idiots, I'm going to break your horns off.//

As they hurried down the sidewalk, he suddenly caught sight of a familiar grey dragon talking to an unfamiliar dark-haired woman. His pulse quickened. 'Arc!' he yelled. 'You scum! What have you been up too?!'

(Did Shepherd get taken to hospital? I wasn't sure. XD)

(Idk either, I was hoping to wake him up then, but it wasn't stated x'D )

Euterpe stood in the shadows and observed the commotion. There were people, people everywhere. A worried look came across her face when she saw the police.

(I'll be going back on my DS sometime soon; when I do, I think I'll post a new room so we can continue without me needing the computer. X))

{Dianne looks in the direction of The Crow's Eye.}

Dianne: "Actually, why don't I stop by with you, just to see what I may be bringing in to my fine establishment. I'm sure you wouldn't mind?"

{Dianne then looks at Stal, having heard his shout.}

Dianne: "Friend of yours?"

(I think that him being taken to the hospital would be safe to assume)

'Sure, I don't mind - and I'm sure my band would love to meet you. We've all heard about the Serpent's Tomb.' Arc then flinched when Stal's voice rang out down the sidewalk. 'Ugh... well, I guess you're already getting to meet some of us. This is our lead singer, Stalgator.'

Stal, forgetting about Euterpe, stomped over to confront Arc. 'Where. The hell. Have you been?' he snarled.

Arc sighed. 'Look, I know you're angry, but I would never miss a gig without good reason. A boy was hit by a car, and I had to stay with him until the ambulance arrived.'

(Going back on my DS now, will post a new room--)

{Dianne looks at Stal with slight animosity}
Dianne: "He speaks the truth. What, would you have preferred he leave the boy in the street to die in order to get to your insignificant gig?"

Euterpe's ears flattened when she heard that Shepherd had been hit. She didn't want to go out in the open yet, the police intimidated her. She had seen people dressed in strange uniforms before, and generally they weren't nice, as Shepherd had explained once to her. //Did they take him?//

All while this was happening, Euterpe had dropped Marco, who was now behind Stal. He began to bark at Arc as if he too was lecturing him.
