[ what species Qualifies?]

The species /must/ have the the following.

(1) it must be a species that can be posted here on Colors.

(2)There must be a species tag.
(having a species reference tag isn't required but it does make things easier for me )

(3) there must be more then /three/ characters in the tag.
(Anything less make for a very short month )

(4) there must be more then /two/ people who own characters.
(The whole point in this is to get as many people involved )

[How do I enter a species or have it removed?]

Ones a month I will post a picture with Canvas ( my Mascot ) and a list of species will be on it from a Previous time, if you have a Species that meets the requirements you can put the tag in the comments and I'll add it for the next voting.

You do not need to be the Owner of the species to Suggest it to be add to the list as long as the owner of the species is ok with there species being post on colors. Note: If they are not ok with this then the species won't be added.

How to remove a species, the Owner of the species has to come to me and just Request that their species be remove and I will do it.

Note: there is a Hiatus option, for those who don't want there species to be fully removed but its just a bad time for them, I can put a Hiatus on their species. What this does is the species cannot be voted on but all their votes Points that they had will be saved for when the Owner of the species removed the Hiatus.

[ about the Owner of the species]

The owner of the species is not Obligated in anyway to do anything special if their species get picked for the month.

If they want they can just site back and Munch on popcorn, it's their species month so they can do that if they want, no art or lore From them is necessary.

It's of the Owner choice if they would like to do something for their species month or not.

But for those who would like to get involved, here are a few Suggestions.

Art: seen the species done by the Creator of the species is a big inspiration.

Lore: making lore on your species helps other Understand your species better.

DTA, OTA, Raffles: can get others involved with your species.

Species of the month is completely open for others to get involved, if you want to draw your character who of that species go right ahead! That the whole point is to have fun!

#ColorsSOTM2 ( don't forget the species tag to! )

[ how do I picture what Character to draw?]

I first look though the tags and fine the characters who belong to Active people on colors.

Note: what I mean by active is if you can read this message then you Qualify. Basically I just want the art to be enjoyed by the Owner of the character, you don't even have to post art on colors, as long as you hop on and are alive you count!
( though posting art makes it easier for me to know your still around :'D)

So when I Announce who the winner for the month I'll ask for people to drop their characters tag(s) in the comments below and that makes things a lot easier :'D

Now please take note: I will do as much as I can but I do work full time and have a Personal life, time can be a factor in what I can get done along with Motivation and art block so I do ask you to be Understanding if I cannot get everyone done.

There are a few things I want to say, but please don't take me as rude.
Please don't bug me Constantly to add a species that doesn't follow the Recommendations.

I also will not draw characters that make me Uncomfortable and care not to be bug to do so.

I'm not getting payment and am taking time out of my life to do this, so I am not Obligated to do something I don't want to.

[ how does voting work?]

A list of species will be posted and each person gets '3' votes you can put anywere.

You can divide your votes amongst different species or put them all in one.
please make your vote as clear as possible (if you want to drop all your vote for one, put something like this "3 votes for Fairfin" then I'll know you want all your vote to one thing)

Votes will be going for a week and I'll announce the winner the following week.

All votes will be rolled over to the following month and then combined with the new votes.

Note: species owners you can vote for your own species.

You can still place species suggestions in the post but there vote won't count until I add the name to the next month list

[ what happens after a species get picked]

Ones the species month is over that species will be removed from the voting list and can not be added until the new year.
This gives room for other species to get some love and spotlight.

At the new year all the species who had been Selected well be re added to the new year list and can be voted on again.

[ the rolled over votes]

My hope with Roll over votes are that with enough time every species will get a spotlight one day.
This is why voting is important, even if a species get a few votes from time to time, ever like bit count if you keep voting.
