//What's he going on about?// said Armin. //Is he OK?//
//And who in their right mind decides to take on several powerful non-human creatures alone and with just a gun?// added Rex. //Humans are so idiotic sometimes.//
Lucci: “No, you’re not. You’re just drunk off your ass and spewing slurred nonsense.”
Dianne: “Now, you listen here, you inbred, redneck bast.ard, I’m not going anywhere. The King gifted me this home, and I intend to stay. I could give a damn if you don’t like it. Now, you’re going to leave immediately.”
Mr. Kaliso: “An’ if I don’t?”
Dianne: “Then I’ll have Titan throw you over the plains, back where you came from.”
//He's so going to regret this when he's sober,// mused Armin. //He's going to feel like such an idiot.//
//He might not have time to get sober, if Dianne or Titan kills him first,// said Rex, eyeing the enormous hydra with trepidation. //What the heII is that thing, by the way?//
//He's basically a bunch of dragon corpses stitched together.//
Rex stared for a moment longer, then turned his head away in disgust and continued to watch the scene below.
Mr. Kaliso: “...Oh. Well, I’ll get ye arrested for it. “
Lucci: “”The only one getting arrested here is you. The police are almost here.”
Dianne: “Don’t you see the damage you’ve done, driving drunk into my property? Look at my lawn! And you better pay for the apple tree you damaged with your car!”
Mr. Kaliso: “I’s not paying fo’ shet! You just need to leave...and since you won’t do it yourself, I’m gonna make you...”
{Mr. Kaliso stoops down and picks up a rock, winding up to throw it. When he does, his aim is so off that the stone doesn’t land anywhere near Dianne. Dianne, however, however, still looks less than pleased.}
//Oooh! Look out everyone, he's throwing rocks!// said Armin sarcastically. //He's totally going to drive all of us non-humans out of the country! Run for your lives!// Rex chuckled, though since he was still in raven form, it just sounded like a bird cawing.
As the cars began to arrive, Armin flew down to land next to Lucci, shifting back and smirking at the sight of Mr Kaliso stumbling drunkenly around. 'What a pathetic excuse for a human. I bet he's terrified of non-humans, that's why he had to get drunk before coming here...'
'Just observing,' said Armin nonchalantly. 'Lucci mentioned this was going to happen and we thought it might be entertaining to watch.' He eyed the police as they approached Mr Kaliso. //Why do the police always take so long to arrive?// he thought.
Dianne: "...Sure, Lucci, tell him about this, but not me."
Lucci: //If I had told you, you would have sent centaurs to intercept him. He would have fired on the centaurs, and they would have pulled him apart.//
Police: "Sir, kindly step over here. How much have you had this afternoon."
Mr. Kaliso: "Enough. I...I just needed some 'cause....I had ta talk ta her...."
Dianne: "I think by 'talk', you mean 'threaten with a shotgun'."
Police: "Sir, is that true?"
Mr. Kaliso: "No..."
Lucci: "Yes."
{Lucci points at the melted shotgun, except it was reformed now.}
Armin stood by, watching quietly while the police questioned Mr Kaliso. //I wonder what the sentence is for this,// he said curiously, directing his telepathy at Lucci and Rex. //Getting drunk, driving into a tree, and then threatening someone with a gun.//
{As the police loaded Mr. Kaliso into the back of the police cruiser, Dianne watched with a look of utter contempt. Dianne then began speaking in an unidentifiable language, and Lucci began to converse with her. }
Dianne: “/That bast.ard would have shot me. I should send the centaurs to kill him once he’s back home./“
Lucci: “/No. That will make the situation worse. If anything happens to him, there’ll be a mob over here next./“
Dianne: “/So? I’ve vanquished armies. What’s a few dozen angry farmers?/“
Lucci: “/These people are innocent. Scared, but innocent. They do not deserve to die. Besides, if you kill them all, the city will face famine./“
Armin stood there with an uncomprehending expression at Dianne and Lucci's conversation, being unable to understand a word. Rex flew down in raven form to land on his shoulder. //She thinks it would have been better to just kill the farmer,// said Rex.
//Wait, what? You can understand that language?//
//No,// said Rex exasperatedly, //but it's pretty easy to get the gist.//
Armin blinked and shook his head slightly. 'Nothing. Just wondering what you two were discussing that couldn't just be said in English... What was that language anyway?'
Dianne: “You don’t need to be privy to every thought I have, Armin. And it was ancient Ferrosian. It’s a dead language, so I know no one else speaks it.”
Police: “M’am, do you want to press charges?”
Dianne: “Yes. I do.”
Lucci: “Don’t worry, Armin. She was just commenting on the current situation.”
'Oh, right,' said Armin. 'Sorry if I seem nosy sometimes, I was just curious. I mean, you guys can't have coversations in unknown languages right in front of me and expect me to /not/ ask what it's all about.'
Dianne: “I suppose that’s true. I wasn’t trying to exclude you, I just wanted to discuss things privately, that’s all.”
Lucci: “Yeah, but you’re one of three people left alive on the planet who still know the language. It’s not like Armin can just take a class.” Dianne: “Lucci, what’s your point?”
'I don't mind,' said Armin. 'If /I/ knew a language that hardly anyone else knew, then I'd sure as heII use it to have private conversations. Would've been pretty useful at times.'
'Even if the other person can't use telepathy themselves, they can still receive messages from people who can,' said Armin. 'And even that's more useful than not being able to communicate at all. Also, telepathy works long-distance... for some people, that is.'
(Hey, do you remember that Christmas-themed Shacklestone RP I mentioned a while ago? I was thinking of posting it next Saturday (21st of December), if that works for you.)
'I'm just saying, telepathy is awesome and it's a shame more people can't use it,' said Armin. He watched the police leaving with Mr Kaliso. 'Anyway, do you two have anything planned for today?'
'Well, you mentioned planning to go to Shacklestone to collect Ana's old spellbooks, if there's any left. But, I'm not sure we can do that today anyway.' He squinted up at the afternoon sky. 'It's not going to be light for much longer.'

Dianne: "Really? You're going to make me leave by throwing rocks? Are you high?"
Mr. Kaliso: "No, jus' drunk...Now fight me...I''l knock ye into tomorrow..."
{Dianne facepalms while Mr Kaliso drunkenly puts his fists up and stumbles about. As he was doing this, cop cars were pulling up onto the property.}
Lucci: "About time they got here..."

{Dianne whips around in disbelief when Armin appears.}
Dianne: "Armin? What are you doing here?"
Mr. Kaliso: "...Bloodsuckers! You stay way from mah wife, ya hypno-man?"
Police: "'Ello, 'ello, 'ello, what's all this then? Mr. Kaliso? Are you drunk?"
Mr. Kaliso: "I was...Then...I still was...."

Police: "Sir, put your hands behind your back. You're under arrest."
Mr. Kaliso: "...But why?"
Police: "Driving intoxicated, illegal possession of firearms, vandalism of private property."
12 Dec, 2019, 10:05 am
//He's going to be so confused when he wakes up in jail and can't remember any of this,// said Rex to Armin.
//He might remember. Depends how drunk he actually is.//

(Not done, misclicked.)
12 Dec, 2019, 11:01 am
Dianne: “/I suppose. I still don’t like it./“
{She then notices the look on Armin’s face.}
Dianne: “What?”

Armin blinked and shook his head slightly. 'Nothing. Just wondering what you two were discussing that couldn't just be said in English... What was that language anyway?'

Dianne: “Yeah. It does come in handy from time to time. Although, one might argue that telepathy is more useful, as it’s completely undetectable.”
Lucci: “True, but only if both members of the conversation have it.”
Dianne: “That’s true. Eh, I guess they both have merit.”
13 Dec, 2019, 11:11 am
'Even if the other person can't use telepathy themselves, they can still receive messages from people who can,' said Armin. 'And even that's more useful than not being able to communicate at all. Also, telepathy works long-distance... for some people, that is.'

(Yeah, that's perfect. I'm off of school for three weeks, so that would be great.)
14 Dec, 2019, 6:05 am
{Dianne rolls her eyes and chuckles.}
Dianne: "I know how telepathy works, Armin. You don't need to try to sell it to me."
{By then, Mr. Kaliso was in the back of the police cruiser, and the law enforcement was leaving.}
14 Dec, 2019, 11:07 am
'I'm just saying, telepathy is awesome and it's a shame more people can't use it,' said Armin. He watched the police leaving with Mr Kaliso. 'Anyway, do you two have anything planned for today?'
14 Dec, 2019, 11:09 am
(Alrighty, I'll post it around that time!)
14 Dec, 2019, 11:20 am
Dianne: “Eh, just dinner. So, no, not really. Why?”
14 Dec, 2019, 1:12 pm
'Well, you mentioned planning to go to Shacklestone to collect Ana's old spellbooks, if there's any left. But, I'm not sure we can do that today anyway.' He squinted up at the afternoon sky. 'It's not going to be light for much longer.'
