(This is going to be a lot of info, I'll try to condense it down as much as I can, but it'll still be a lot.)

Armin is a laid-back and nonchalant person, not the type to get angry over minor things. He tends to make light of bad situations, which can lead people to assume he's either an idiot or incapable of taking things seriously. Despite this, he does have a darker side to his personality that few people are even aware of. He keeps up an air of lightheartedness that only shatters under a great deal of strain. It takes a lot of pushing to get him angry, but he can snap under extreme circumstances, and has been known to occasionally become violent when provoked.

He is very loyal to anyone he considers a friend. Not only will he unhesitantly risk his life to protect them, but he'll also stick up for them during arguments even if he knows they're wrong. He's aware that because of his vampirism, it's possible he might outlive many of his friends. However, he's very sociable and would much rather be around others than alone.

He can be very pessimistic, especially if he's already in a bad mood. He also has a habit of drinking heavily when stressed, and his emotional state during these moments varies a lot. Physically, however, he is very tough and resilient, able to withstand high amounts of pain and discomfort with little outward reaction. He can sometimes be reckless, not always thinking things through before making a decision. He's not stupid, but he can be impulsive.

He isn't exactly openly affectionate and seldom initiates physical contact. If he likes someone, he'll usually show it by spending time with them, defending them, and being comfortable talking to them about personal subjects. (If he's physically affectionate with someone, it either means he's drunk or trusts them a great deal.)
