also, do you want to hear something weird? in 2OI6, I played Doom for the first time and loved it. I wanted more, but the 2OI6 game looked bland to me and I didn't want it. Then, Doom Eternal got announced. Hell yes.
Recently, I played all of the Half-Life games. It was amazing and I /really/ wanted more...And that made me sad because there isn't more. but then, Half-Life: Alyx gets announced.
I played Bioshock not long before Half-Life, and now there's a big rumor of a new Bioshock.
