Swadows and surfaces by Johannes
Day 5: Today I took a shot at trying to paint something classic to practice doing shadows and surfaces (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%27Anjou). As much as I like apples, a fantastic pear beats everything :)
My painting however is not fantastic yet but I feel that I am learning new stuff everyday. What should I paint tomorrow?

good job jo looks like the lighting is coming from top right so maybe you couldve extended that core shadow a tad bit more unto the upper left side of the pear but overrall a solid still life

That is really good advice @Athsmangold . I feel this is something I really have to practice on to be able to see. Any specific tips on how to improve that skill?
