Ahhh you are supposed to turn the 3D off at first until it says otherwise.

I use lines in mine, but otherwise it's the same method. As long as the 3D isn't too high, lines do work.

Oh it does work with lines? I could never get mine to look right on lined work. Good for you. --To copy you go into the layers menu and just drag the box over. It is in the instructions. :) --Thanks everyone! I am glad it is helping.

First of all, I like the style you drew Pikachu in. Secondly, thanks for this tutorial. I just started using this program about a week and half to 2 weeks ago. This will save me alot of time, as I may not have thought about doing this that way.
I have one painting out and I just kept changing layers to draw differant parts.

One more thing.... I was actually thinking of trying to see if I could make a character on several levels that did look like a popup book picture. Nice to know it can be done.
Ialso like how you use this as an animation tool.

Completely worth watching and instant like! Thanks a million! I would always try doing this the hard way by recoloring and blending on other layers (and would get bored and frusterated!), but this really is a great method!
(P.S. Congrats, when I liked this It gave you a third golden star, of couse along with all the others, but this deserves all the likes!)
