Aching bones, broken homes, and a never ending sound of moans. A group of three arrives at the gates of Caelum City after immigrating from across the seas.
The trio comes from an island that is similar to Greenland geographically. At the age of 15, Shepherd leaves his land of birth to seek opportunity, refuge and a place to call home. Along on his voyage he came to know two good friends. A young yet somewhat nihilistic dragoness named Euterpe and a yappy excitable dog to which they have come to call Marco Polo.
Shepherd was born and raised in a concentration camp, subjected to child labor in some of the most unsanitary working conditions. Surprisingly he seems to remain optimistic, and has been seen as the natural leader of the group. Shepherd doesn't really have a clear direction in life, though perhaps that doesn't matter. As long as he makes it, it'll turn out ok.
Euterpe is a bit more pessimistic, and struggles existentially. She doesn't talk about her past and regards it as unimportant and meaningless. She's a great singer, and has a pretty alluring voice, though has grown silence ever since a certain 'incident'. Though mostly she had no reason to, for the only thing she can seem to believe in is the absurdities of life.
Sometimes she goes by Euta or Eu (like Ewe/you) by Shepherd and for her, he is her last breathe of hope. Most of the time she feels either utterly useless or inconvenient. She can't fly due to having no knowledge of how to even use her wings. A shame really, her wings are a lot like an owls, and would be great for a swift and silent flight. In terms of abilities her sense of smell is weak yet she had great night vision and can maneuver into hiding rather rapidly Her paws are much like a cats, but it's not like she has much experience in combat.
(Eu's design is modeled after deer/owls/and big cats)
Finally the last of the three is Marco Polo. Marco, Polo, or both as often referred to, is a dog. Like any other dog he likes to bark, dogs bark very much, and Marco especially is no exception. Anything that moves, breathes, speaks eat within ten meters of the vicinity Marco /must/ bark at. It is his duty, isn't he a good boy? Marco thinks so, and he's sure his people agree.
Marco was rescued by Shepherd from a slaughterhouse meant for canines.
Euterpe he found in on his way out of the concentration camp. She was targeted by locals due to rumors of her eating children. Though she's omnivorous and prefers berries more than anything.

Aaahhh these guys look (and sound) so cool! I love Euterpe especially, her owl-like design is so beautiful. X)

(And Marco is the kind of dog that would probably really annoy me in real life haha, I hate dogs that bark constantly.)

i pretty much hate dogs that bark constantly, particularly small ones. (chihuahuas are the worst i absolutely cant stand them)

i didnt use to be like this but living with an extremely aggrivating chihuahua for IO years has made me go from "im okay with you" to "shut up and go away you little pri.ck"
