Enjoyed the video. You are more willing to go back in strengthen values, building one on top of the other. I need to consider doing that, as the effect is good. But I imagine it takes a while!
Did you get the lighting directly from the reference or adjust some? The less harsh lighting, and slightly subdued tones fit well with the younger and less ferocious cub.

Also good to see that you are cranking out more work again! I am on a non-productive stretch now. Seems that is how such things go.

The lighting is from the reference but with less intense contrast. One thing I noticed after uploading is the darkness of the facial features looks a bit too strong compared to the softness of the rest of the lion. I probably should have tried to make the darks a bit more subtle.

and yeah, I'm trying to knock out as many drawings as I can while my motivation is still here because I know it will fade again.
