Hey, Katt. I have something I want to tell you. I've been noticing something on my upper shoulder for a little while now, but never thought much about it. It started looking bad this week, so I looked it up...It looks a lot like it could be melanoma. It resembles stage 4, to make it worse...I'm getting it looked at soon, I really hope that isn't what it is. I'm not going to lie, I'm terrified...As soon as I saw those photos of what melanoma looks like, I almost started crying. It's one of the most fatal cases of cancer you can get when it's in stage 4. I can't really tell how scared I am right now...

I'm sorry I just threw this at you out of nowhere, but I don't know who else to talk to who's been through this level of fear. I really don't know what I'd do if it read positive. I had so much I wanted to do in life, but all that could be nothing but fantasy now...

re: I do have some hope though; The spot on my shoulder is this mole thing. If it's cancer, it can be asymmetrical and have an uneven border. Mine isn't either of those, it's a perfect cicle and it's smooth on the border. It's just a very dark red with a perfect "ring" around it. I know the color can be a bad thing too though. Also, a lot of photos I see of a normal or cancer mole look exactly alike, so I don't know what to think anymore...I'm pretty sure mine is cancerous, but I don't know how bad it is.

Also, my diet is weird. I eat 3 times a day through work days, but barely eat anything on weekends; What I actually eat varies. To give you an idea on how much I eat, I'm only 155...at six foot. That might be a little unhealthy... J:

-and thanks btw. I talked to my parents about it and they were just like "You don't have cancer. Just get it looked at if it bothers you that much." I don't really think they understand how serious something like this can end up being. If my son(if i had one) showed me something on him like what's on me, I'd be like "get in the car."
