For my great-grandmother. Who was like a second Mother to me, she'd been in my life since I was born, up until I was 20 years old.
She was an amazing woman, dedicated her life to family. She inspired me in many ways. She was bull headed and stubborn (Now you know where I get it from! I swear it's genetic)
But most of all, she only had one love in her entire life. My great grandfather, Elmer, who died years before I was born. She was never with anyone else, she only loved him and never stopped loving him the 36 years she was without him. I hope one day, I can find true love like that, like she had.
But now I know she's at peace, with her husband, daughter and friends again.

Lillian (Lil) always wore a cross, had angels (little statues/figurines) in her home, her little apartment always felt so peaceful. This drawing, this cross, is for her.
She is the reason I have faith, in God, in an afterlife. I will never lose my faith. Maybe that sounds weird coming from me. But it's a part of who I am, thanks to her.

So rest in peace Lillian, until we meet again
(1922-2015)
And to all who've read this, cherish the people in your life, love them. Because there comes that day when you'll lose them, when you forget what they sounded like, when you'd give anything to hear them, just one last time.
