Sometimes with transparency the colours start getting unpredictable and random colours will appear. It also creates a sort of grainy effect when I want smooth blending.
The absolute madness, omg, I love the picture, it looks so incredible. I like the picture. Also, how to bring in the colors, the shadows and the light in the picture. good work!
Ok, I think I know what you mean about the transparency. I do see some artifacts at times. I am guessing that is because Colors uses a vector based engine, rather than raster. On the other hand, that allows us to export at larger sizes without quality loss, and to replay the video at larger sizes. So it is probably a good trade off. Another option might be to just take the slider a bit more to the grey to mute it rather than make it more transparent. Some acrylic painters tend to grey down their paints for realism or distance works.
Yeah, I've tried using a more neutral palette but I don't know. It just seems simpler to build up transparent colours to get the softness I'm looking for. I don't know anything about the program or how it's made but if what you said about the larger export sizes is true then my problem is a very small sacrifice.
Yeah, the fact that it is vector is helpful. Some of the other art programs for the Nintendo cannot export at nearly as large of a size. I actually managed to export one of my widescreen images at 3992x2393 on the pc, which is good enough for some pretty good size prints.

You have been cranking out more work lately! It looks great. What kind of glitches are you getting with transparency?

Could you use a semi-transparent eraser tool to take out some of the saturation after the fact?
