Re: @Krazy Katt111 I enjoyed looking back through your old catalogue. I didn't realize they even had a limit on what would show. Is that platform dependent? I often scroll through people's stuff on a Windows PC, and it seems to display tons of them. I do wish I had been around during the busy times here. I still enjoy watching the videos of some of the talented people who have posted, and that helps to learn.
I imagine the decline in the community is due to its main user base being on the Nintendo 3ds. It is well integrated, and one of only a few options for the platform. It is on IOS and Android, but there are definitely better options just from an art perspective. But the community aspect is great for Colors. And perhaps there is a way we could start to build the community on IOS and Android.
The other option is to start migrating those who are left, and who pop in to an online forum, if that has not already been done. Then those who migrate to using other means for art (Traditional, pc or mac graphics tablet, or Wacom Cintique, etc.) could be included, and colors could be one aspect of the community.
I started out with digital art using a wacom tablet and Corel Painter and such. I still enjoy them, but the ability to pick up the tiny Nintendo and just immerse yourself in the simple tools to crank out something quickly is more fun to me.
However, many seem to think that graduating to these other tools is the next step in their art development, and means leaving the community. Finding a different venue might help with that.
