Yamiya would probably be sun birdie's "pet," because healing/protection magic is related to the sun's energy in this universe. Maybe he was sent by Siria to become mortal for a bit and comfort Heli in his lonely childhood years. I'm not sure though, I'm still thinking this stuff up as I go.
If you got more questions about Heli's past though I'll be glad to answer them
