OR
Something that's about your size, weaker, and slower. It toys with you, taking it's time to get you.
Either way, you're screwed in the end.

Also, to answer the question: the 2nd thing. Something bigger usually has some crippling hole in them.. I see/live in the situation.. But something creeping around, that's a little more scary..
