It's generally accepted that only one Renashin is born at a time, but one fateful day, twin Renashin were born to an expecting Kikachi mother... and of all the colors to get twins, it was Purple, the color of death, disease, and decay...
Malarie is absolutely anything but an embodiment of this--the total opposite of her sister, Valarie. ( @LillyLightstar's OC)
Malarie is typically a rambunctious and cheerful Kikachi who quite literally couldn't hurt a fly (she loves bugs.) and easily opens up to just about anyone around her.
However, as fun-loving as she is, she always tries to remember to keep some important restraints on herself. (If not too many.) Even when she meets new friends, she never sticks around them for very long.
Growing up in a Kikachi village, she'd always heard from everyone about how she was 'blessed,' and how she was a 'gift from the gods.' But she never believed them.
In fact, she never liked to be told those things, and would often try to remind everyone else that she was just like them. Malarie is flat out /horrified/ of her Renashin side, and if she could, she would just stay in her Kikachi form forever, far from dragons, far from any muck or grime... So that she would never shift, or hurt anyone ever again.

It's all why she's dyed her purple hair a variety of colors, keeps her Renashin eye covered at all times, and keeps a weaponized squeegee--the thought of shifting terrifies her, no matter where she is.
Because of her fear, she's become a total clean freak. She's made sure her outfit covers nearly every part of her, and if that doesn't work--she always has her hazmat suit, just in case. When she's not travelling with her sister, Malarie spends her free time making all sorts of little knickknacks and crafts, catching bugs and making friends
with them, and /making sure everything is clean./
When they were younger, she and her sister made her eyepatch together. Yes, it is indeed made with shoelaces. /Clean/ shoelaces.
She would tell you that she is totally, absolutely a normal Kikachi.

Despite their differences, Malarie would never want to be separated from her sister, Valarie. She loves her sister dearly, even though she's not the biggest fan of her views on Renashin. Malarie tries her hardest to look after her sister, and hopes one day she can show her that staying a Kikachi isn't so bad.
The Death Sisters also have a little bug friend they keep as a pet, we're still working on his design, though...
