Since Cobi is expected to act exactly like his father, he spends most of his time doing the exact opposite.
He is mischevous, always seen teasing anyone around and he often takes it too far. Cobi has almost no sense of judgement and makes horribly stupid decisions. When he isn't doing all that, is respectable and honest. He can handle most situations, aside from something his father does because then he has the absurd need to do the opposite of the King.
Everyone is always comparing Cobi to his father. Cobi hates it because they don't know the king like they think. Years ago, when Cobi was very young, his mother was very sick. At the time, the Queen was making the decisions because she felt the King was not prepared for war with the Kragnslen Kingdom. She was too sick to make judgement anymore so Cobi's father officially took over dealing with the matter.
One night, a few days before the king took over, Cobi was going to ask the doctor if his mother was ever getting better.

As Cobi was about to enter the chamber, he stopped dead in his tracks hearing his father talking to the doctor, "I need to be the one giving orders around here! This Kingdom was run by men as long as any of us, including the Elder Guardians can remember, I will not let it fall in the hands of a woman."
"But, King Defric, you don't expect me to give Queen Eliza these... do you?"
"Yes as a matter of fact I do," the King's eyes were blazing, "And you will. Unless of coarse you would like exiled to hmm... say any of the Zebnu Islands, excluding Sol."
"... Yes, my King... I will do as you wish..."
Cobi ran to his mother's side and cried.
Days later the Queen died. Cobi knows and lives with the truth everyday, thus resenting his father's very exsistence.
