so i use/have discord, ye? last night i had a dream that was basically me on discord the entire time, in a sonic related server
this person named "Emilie Aronth" joined and everyone else in this server freaked the hell out
why? because she was apparently one of those youtube kids animators
i hadn't heard of her until that moment so honestly i didnt care much, until everyone in the server started sh.itting on her just for being there and so i tried to stand up for her just because everyone was being way too harsh
then someone linked me to her channel with all the youtube kids animations, and i looked through them and just
yeah they werent that great, but they werent all terrible either
the animation itself was pretty stiff and the quality dramatically fell up and down, uh-there was a pokemon related animation, jessie and james were hiding in bushes. one scene they actually look fairly anatomically correct, the next scene jessie's fsce is crooked and james's arms are sticks

and the animation wasnt smooth very often, more like tweening if anything
/however/, her videos themselves werent the mind f.uckery that are the usual yt kids videos, she had actual plots that were mostly normal and made sense
the weirdest they got was sonic gaining a green super form after eating lots of chili dogs lmao

but, nonetheless, with her reputation as a yt kids animator, emilie got loads of trash
eventually it died down the next day, i remember someone challenged emilie to draw somethin of "actual good quality" compared to her yt kids animations

so she did, a standalone image of sonic, tails, and the master emerald
and it actually was a lot better than ppl thought it'd be
sure, it still had its weird issues with perspective and anatomy, but the shading and coloring was mostly on point
i actually rlly liked the art, but
then eVERYONE IN THIS DISCORD SERVER SH.AT ON THE ART MERCILESSLY

they just bashed everything they could about the art, calling it ugly, like kids scribbles, saying it was garbage, etc. etc. and not offering any critique whatsoever
this seemed to set emilie into a panic or smth because she went offline a few minutes afterwards
i tried to tell the ppl in the server to stop but i was pretty much ignored entirely
about half an hour passed, emilie posted another thing of just sonic in uuhh,, metropolis?? and it was actually a lot better on anatomy and perspective but seemed rushed and thus the quality fell dramatically
and then, everyone sh.at on the art again
and know what, that got me mad, so i wrote up a fairly long handful of sentences defending emilie and her standalone art because hEY, SHE'S TRYING AND EVEN IF HER ANIMATIONS ARENT GREAT, THEY'RE NOT GROSS TRASH AND SUCH
and then everyone pretty much sh.at on me, calling me a white knight, telling me im an idiot for "blindly defending a garbage dump", [cont.

tearing down my art and calling it worthless, and basically making me feel horrible
.. and then a server mod came on and muted two or three people for several hours, one being me
so i just sat there and went and told me friends about this, and in the self conscious manner of me being a baby, asked if what those ppl said was right
and then i got /no responses/ which made /ME/ panic a bit
eventually i just decided to hop off discord and check out emilie's twitter, since, she has one
mostly posting her yt kids animations, retweeting some art, buuut i eventually found she had, like
some posts of her own artwork and her stuff rlly wasnt that bad, better than what she posted on discord even
so i went and checked the discord again, emilie had deleted her artwork and set herself to do not disturb

right as i went to reach out to her, i woke up

so yeah
/MY BRAIN IS WILD/

and im just sitting here wondering about some of the things in the dream
does this emilie person exist in some way
will something like this actually happen someday
is my stuff and approach to things as bad as it was told to be in that dream
or am i overthinking this

Thats a... Suprisingly realistic dream?? Like most of the time something suuuper random is thrown into dreams but yikes I could actually see something like this happening
