Meet one of the smallest subspecies of the Xanos species.

Azalea (featured here) was the first nature variant of the Xanos. She looked drastically different when she was first born. But over time, her body changed to better suit her environment.

Her frilly appearance actually matches some of the plant life in the homeworld of the Xanos, Xarveidore. It helps her to blend in and hide amongst nature.

Most who pass through her territory, never see her, because not only does she blend in so well, she's trained herself to be a master of stealth.

Azalea doesn't actually fly, her frilly parts can extend into wing like membranes, but only to help her glide (She's similar to flying squirrels)

The forests in Xarveidore are massive trees, with hundreds of branches, sometimes so many, they blot out the sun. Which is perfect for ones like Azalea, when in the shadows or any darkness, her appearance changes (as seen on the left).

Nature variants are also soft pawed and have nails perfect for clinging easily to the toughest tree bark.
