Two figure walked a long silently in cool dark forest. Lush green ferns were littered everywhere and practically came up to Hawthorn's shoulder. The ground felt soft and most and his paws were wet and cover in pine needles. He paused a moment and turned his head back. They were on their home after a long travel to the Sanctum's border. Long story short their investigation ended up as a waste of time and had left the two in a very sour mood. Buckeye landed on a nearby branch and grumbled. "You keep stalling and I'm leaving you here alone."
Buckeye complained.
"Well go ahead then, I never asked you to stay with me."

(ahhh sorry for slowness)

An unusually large jet black wolf trotted noisily through the forest, he wasn't hunting or hungry, so he saw no reason to be quiet as he moved along the pine littered forest. Pink tongue lolling out of his open jaws as he drew closer to Hawthorn and Buckeye's location, his ears swiveled forward as he heard them.

//Finally, some intelligent life// Malakai thought as he picked up his pace, he'd been unlucky with the last creature whom he encountered. A deer, that had booked it in the opposite direction as soon as it saw him. //Maybe they'll tell me where I am//

Hawkeye jumped back and his ears flattened. He had heard something in the woods heading towards them, but wasn't able to pick up what it was quite just yet. Buckeye gave him a teasing smile. "Hah see your scaredddddd~"
"Am not!" Hawth snapped back followed by a bark.
"Oh sure, your tail tells it all."
"Laugh all you want Buck. How about you bring that big talking beak of your down here and I'll show you who's the real coward!"

Malakai rounded a cluster of trees, finally spotting the two, his ears twitched in amusement at their bickering and he just padded towards the two. Without a care in the world. "Hey!" He barks, "Are you two familiar with this forest?" he tips his head upwards, trying to peer up at the sky. "I haven't a clue where I am!" he turns his gaze back to the two, giving the coyote a wolfish grin.

(Lol, I've done that before, especially with similarish names

like Hiiro and Haru)

The two turned to look at the newcomer and then exchanged glances. Buckeye shut his beak with slince while Hawthorn's eyes widened with a bit of amazement and wonder. "An outsider?" He finally said a bit conflicted. He looked back at Buckeye for an answer but the hawk just sat there speechless and bewildered.

(It can get super frustrating at times,

Malakai stopped a few paces from Hawthorn, tipping his head to one side, "An outsider? Me?" he flicks his ears. "You mean like, this entire forest is your territory? Or did I wander into your part of the forest? I didn't scent any markers"

I wanna host a Mal rp one day, where we all use Mal named characters

We just need more Mals, to have the most confusing rp ever)

"Territory? No, it's not quite that." Hawthorn mumbled thinking for a moment. Buckeye loomed over the two and kept his eyes on Malakai. When Hawthorn continued his reticence Buckeye stepped in on the conversation. "This forest, and even some parts beyond belongs to the Sanctum. We don't have outsiders, or rather the possibility of one is impossible. Leaving as you might guess is just as about even more of an absurdity." Buckeye explained. "Infact we were just confirmed this when we were near the border. Isn't that right Hawthorn?"
The coyote nodded "Well, I find this coincidence to be rather interesting. I mean if-"
"Save it, for all we know this wolf could just be playing us, though then again you don't look familiar."

(Oh gosh, that must of been chaotic to both write and read x'D
Mals shall take over the worlddddd rip

Malakai's head moved to whoever was talking to him and then back to the other, his ears strained forward as he listened. "Well I am not 'playing' you. I have not a clue how I got here or what this Sanctum is"

He rubs his paw hard into the ground and then lifts it up, looking at the pine needles on it, "If it's impossible, then how am I here right now? I wasn't born into this pine forest or Sanctum" he put his paw back down, "I simply wandered in, somehow"

(It hasn't happened yet, but one day it will! You must join the chaos!)

"'Simply' wandered in? SIMPLY!" Buckeye scoffed as he swooped down to land on his friend's back. "Buck shut it! I don't think he knows much more about than we do. Though I am rather curious about how you even got in, it seems you don't even know yourself." Hawthorn paused and swallowed for a moment. "I don't see any reason to hold information either. This place ,err the Sanctum, has some very old orgins. But most of our history has been tangled in with stories for children, so I can't tell you anything else other than that this place has been the only home, land, or world that I know. It's honestly hard to believe that there's a wider and larger world than ours."

I'm not sure if I have a character who will own a name like that yet bit we shall see eheheheheh
