the skip itself essentially makes you boost into a wall towards the middle of the course, slide up into a corner, and the wall itself moves so it pushes you on through
and if you keep boosting you'll arrive at a point right near the finish line
there's another similar skip earlier on but its far less consistent and requires rlly good timing to land on the course again

the ruby's sentient and in my canons it was possessing infinite, so in ancients it kinda but not rlly takes his form, it isnt rlly him and probably has quite a lot of differences
