This is really cool and pretty! I've seen a few "drawing/creation process" pictures but none were quite like this.
Also--
It'a actually not a good idea to add the background last.
If you color your subject before you add the background, it can throw off the coloring on your subject some, especially if you're aiming for somewhat or very realistic styled coloring and lighting where the surroundings influence the colors of your subject. (Like green grass and a blue sky adding a faint green and blue to areas, etc)
