but yeah cancer sucks...it sucks so much... my dad, thank goodness, is actually still alive, but the cancer he's got is one of the worst kinds you can have: pancreatic. though one upside to it is he doesnt have the common kind, his is the rare slower growing kind.

he'd probably be dead right now if he had the other because usually when /that/ kind is found at stage IV, the person with it's dead within a few months. he/we found out about his in november.

and the bad thing is, the chemo he had started in... late december? (or early january? i think the snow from that one storm in december screwed him out of going to get treatment for a little bit) and been on (...til april) was working awesomely on all his cancer /except/ where it had spread on his liver, it didnt work at all on that so the docs stopped that chemo. theyve got him trying something--

--that's never been used on anyone with pancreatic cancer. iirc the doctors said it's got a 5O/5O chance of working. /hopefully/ it's working, we wont know if it is until a few weeks from now.

ive told my dad, if it doesnt work, dont give up, we're gonna keep trying anything we can a long as he's here. anything's worth a shot...

my mom's told me "we should go there" but iiiii dunno if yay or nay, probably nay because who knows what our lives are gonna be like in october. but we'll just have to see.

but, ive actually never been to a concert before (might seem suprising but my ears are sensitive and im pretty paranoid about anthing that could possibly make my tinnitus worse. im tempted to try going to a lep concert sometime though...ill just wear earplugs or something like some kind of lunatic if i manage to make it to one) so im naive on the experience of a concert overall lol.

and my dad's around the same, his energy levels have been better since he's been taking that new chemo (which i was mistaken on-- it's mainly been taken by people with...a type of melanoma? my dad's the first with pancreatic to take it) which is something the doctors are cautiously optimistic about. basically, so far so good. june's when we'll find out for sure if it's working or not.

/unless any kind of bug/arthropod comes crawling up somewhere...then anyone around me is definitely gonna think im crazy when im trying my damndest to save it/
(ive gotten funny looks from people in stores while rescuing stuff like a stray yellowjacket lol. saving bugs is always worth it to me no matter what though)

and ohhhh id believe it, that's really cool :o but it sucks you basically had to quit cause of people hounding you. i know that nervous feeling, i dont like for people to watch me do anything, i like to wait til no one's around to try to do things. i dont even like to be seen doing something like sweeping a floor.. lol
