That's some nightmare. I had a really severe one about a year ago where I was in this horror type scene and I was being followed by this mysterious figure that I didn't know what to make of it. I was running for my life and I thought I lost it. That same figure eventually appeared in front of me and scared me literally to death, its red eyes beaming at me and it slashed at me. I bled out and died instantly. That's when I woke up and checked to make sure I was OK. Thank goodness that never happened again.
