I'm in the same boat as you with a story, I just have bits and pieces I want to use, not the whole thing. I see you've gotten better at drawing without reference (assuming this had no reference). You should also try gesture drawing.

lol, my friend and i actually have the entire storyline done, over 3 years of epic boredom we wrote all the story arcs

Cool! I've done a huge story with one of my friends, just not a serious one... In fourth grade we made a 1000 page continuous comic in a series of composition notebooks, but it wasn't serious at all, with doodle art for most of it though :P It doesn't compare at all.

lol, we went for a drama/action thing, that makes you look at the world diffrently, like the webcomic Jack or the game Mass Effect
