Held a butterfly today. Saved it from certain death stuck lying on a parking lot. Thought it was dead at first then it wriggled its legs. Got it to stand on my fingers then onto a tree cuz I didn't wanna chance takin off any powder. Couldn't move one leg. Wound of sorts on back shoulder of wing but it could still open and close them both. Had a rip in bottom side wing. Believe it was a blue swallow tail? It was really pretty. Hope it lives :>

looking at the wing colors in the playback, it's likely it was a black morph of the eastern tiger swallowtail
(i say "eastern" cause im assuming you live in the southeastern US-- you and i seem to get hit by the same weather systems, like the /never ending rain reee/, random snow, etc)

also a late reply to the thing about chrys' lifespan: ooo, good!
raph's lifespan is/will be a fair bit longer than an average pony's but will end up being way, /way/ shorter than the usual lifespan for his kind, pureblood unicorns (they usually live anywhere between I,OOO to I,5OO years)
there are reasons for it, it ties in with his weak magic (he's actually pretty weak in all aspects compared to average purebloods), but who knows when ill post any lore on it :'D

i mean, purebloods tend to look pretty similiar, all *aside from a select few "rebel" types* have hair that almost drags the ground, all have varied "primitive"/dun factor markings (some more than others; michael has a lot, raph only has a few), the lion styled tail, long horns and all are tall, but michael and raph are verry similiar-

& to be more exact for you on raph's lifespan, he doesnt live to see 3OO or even 28O...in the canon without chrys, that is.
in the chrys AU he might would live a little longer.
