[ Lovett ]

Urufu is Malice most recent alias, well though out and developed, he took what he leaned over the centuries to create a believable edgy but good guy character, now let's take a few steps back... like 10,000 years before Skey,... well to get the story right I have to take it a little more back... But we'll get to the 10,000 in a month

As you now know, during the time of Soledormir reign of terror, the Nightmares we're a monstrous barbaric species, all they really did was destroy and corrupt things, but once Sol was sealed the Nightmares weren't under his control anymore but now they we're killing everything, not only people but other dark creatures and each other, it didn't matter, the young Nightmare species we're nuts on a dog-eat-dog power spree trying to become the powerfulest of all Nightmares.

The Nightmare population took a big hit and most was do to it's own kind but that wasn't all that was happening.

In the land of dream after the Fairfin we're made and other things happen in the land, the people were starting to get strength and able to rise up against the chaos, groups were forming to fight against the Nightmares and other dark creatures in the land of dreams, Omen knew if things keep going as they we're Malice was going to be killed, so he made a plan...

Omen had to challenge Mal and knock some sense into him just to get the young Nightmare king to listen, Mal needed to adapt to the new way the world was going or he was going to die...to a Nightmare survival is one of the strongest instincts, so Mal listened to Omen advice.

Omen begin to teach Mal to learn how to act human so he would blend into society, the young Nightmare king needed to control his temper and hunger so he could walk and be around people without killing them, it wasn't easy at first but with Omen help he did learn.

thankfully Mal did have one advantage, under Sol Mal never used his human form, Sol hated it so it wasn't to difficult for Omen to teach Mal about alter identities, it was just Mal attitude Omen had to work on....but after about a thousand years of extensive training, it was time to put Malice deception skills to the test and 10,000 years before the key Hunters gathered Lovett was born!

Unfortunately for Mal Omen was in charge of everything, he named Mal alternate ego and made up his backstory, Mal was young and was still apprentice at this time so he followed what Omen did and told him to do.

Lovett a Scottish name that means wolfcub or young wolf and indeed Mal was definitely a little cub at this point in his life, because Omen was able to perform his greatest troll against the king of Nightmares and almost get away with it...

Omen made Lovett backstory, Nemo who was Omen alias name at that time, was posing as an elf, one day Nemo was on his way to the grocery store when he came across a cardboard box with a abandoned Griffin cub in it, the young elf took in the little Griffin cub and name him Lovett. Though the two we're not the same species they grow up like brothers, Nemo looking after his little brother Lovett and the two grew close however one day there parents didn't give them dessert so they decided to ran away from home to join the circus but on there way a women came running to them and pointed to a burning building, saying her kids we're still in there, Lovett and Nemo didn't hesitate and rush to the burning building, as the building collapsed the two emerged from the flames with several chickens in their arms, the woman praise them for the heroic deed in saying her precious chickens and from that day forth the two brothers knew what they wanted to be and that was Heros...

Omen probably not the best to make up a back story or maybe he is?

Anyway Mal kinda thought it was stupid but Omen reassured him that how all the good guys back story are, orphaned, creating a tight Bond of friendship, mean parents, runaways to the circus, a damsel in distress, stumbling into greatness and everyone loves a story with rescued pets, Omen covers everything except he didn't put in the backstory the all mighty love triangle.... (Shame on you Omen, everyone knows a good story has to have a love triangle in it.)

with the storybook characters that were completely fictional at hand,( but Mal didn't understand that) Omen had the two set off as a brotherly duo for justice and Mal been a dumb young Light Eater believed him...kinda, Nightmare are naturally suspicious

Anyway the two had set off on their quest, Lovett and Nemo started to make a name for themselves doing heroic deeds, if it was battling evil creatures or just helping little old ladies cross the street, there was no task to great or small for the heroic duo.

Appearance-wise Mal was new to suppressing his Darkness and looking human, but he no longer had a gaping hole in his chest we're Sol ripped out his frame heart, he didn't have claws or black fingernails, he didn't have dead pale skin with black veins across it, he no longer had spine protruding from his back, he didn't have a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, Mal looked mostly normal for a humanoid.

Mal as Lovett had really pale skin but didn't have signs of corruption, Nemo just play it off that his brother was just pale-complected and would joke about Lovett needing his sunscreen so no one got suspicious.

Lovett was also know for blushing a lot, Mal play it off as being embarrassed or flattered but in reality Mal was made and frustrated a LOT having to keep up his act, if it wasn't for Omen to keep Mal in chack and cover for him Mal would have pop and would have blown his cover but that why Omen insisted him and Mal posed as brothers, it let Omen keep a close eye on on Mal, he knew Mal well enough to know his antics and could ether have Mal stay under control or Omen use one of his many gifts that causing a distraction to divert the situation to something else.

Mal try something new and as Lovett let his hair grow out and just shake it out to fluff it. Aka, he had bed head
Mal stay away from wearing black and instead wore white because that's what good guy do right?
In the beginning of the early Shadowhunters Nemo suggested the group to where outfits that we're inspiring, to help boost morale of the people, so the early days of The Shadowhunters they wore heroic looking attire...the majority of them dressed like superheroes.

Nemo help out making their outfits and costumes, he used natural materials instead of summoning them. Omen already had knowledge in making clothing but not using his magic stretched him by learning techniques from the other members who also we're making the outfits and overall made him a even better tailor and armourer.

Lovett personality-wise was pretty much a copy and paste of the most cheesiest superheros, complete with corny catchphrases and dramatic poses to better sale that Lovett was the real deal hero.

Judas you can probably guess was living the dream, he was pretending to be a hero with his best buddy, and they both were know as being goofy Brothers with good hearts...

But in reality the one who got troll the hardest was Judas himself because that all it was, a dream, an illusion that wasn't true...and in the end Judas would learn a painful lesson that Nightmare are not people who can be changed to be better

But unknown to anyone else besides Omen that Mal hated ever minute of his act, Mal as the Nightmare king had even more malice hate and anger, he would go on killing sprees and destructive fits to relieve his frustrations. This would be we're Malice really become the salted King.

Even though Mal was being diving mad, his act as Lovett been the cheesy good guy and then his true nature as Malice merciless king of Nightmares, no one ever suspected they were one in the same....and at that time, Nightmare we're not know to be deceptive, they were just Savage Beast, they didn't even suppress their darkness to hide themselves.

What Mal did as Lovett was completely new in the way Nightmares hunted, no one expected a Nightmare could even do something like that and over time other Nightmare follow in there Kings foot steps and we're trying there hand at been deceptive one of these first Nightmares was Tainted dream, ( but that for a different story ) there were now two main types of Nightmares, those who stuck to the more barbaric brute Force hunting Style and those who favor deception and being the dagger in the back, (there are Nightmare who set between the two but in most cases a Nightmare will favorite one over the other, the quick spontaneous kill or the slow plan one?

As time passes Mal leaned and got smarter, he discovered that he didn't have to be super cheese and the goody two shoe over the top hero to be accepted into society, Mal came to believe Omen had trick him, trying to make a fool out of the Nightmare king but Mal was smart enough now not to just simply lash out as Lovett, he now had a reputation and Mal didn't want people to catch on that a Nightmare could actually be deceptive so Malice put in a plan and staged Lovett heroic death, Lovett would sacrifice himself to save not only his Shadowhunter comrades but a town from a Tormented husk Nightmare ( that Mal has full control over)

Mal had hoped Lovett would be forgotten in time, but unfortunately for the Nightmare king the very same setup for Lovett death made him become a historical hero and Lovett name would go down in history.

Lovett name along with the other early shadowhunter like Nemo who did heroic deeds we're written in Many books, one such book series is 'The Wondrous Adventures of Resourceful Heroes (volume one)'

Story, plays, toys and so much more we're made throughout the centuries of these old heros

There is actually a holiday in the fall to honor the early Shadowhunters called 'Reverence Day' or as Omen would tease ' Love it day, a spin-off of Lovett name'
it's a tradition to dress up in their own costumes as a hero or as one of these past heros.
(However Most shadowhunter are very thankful that the tradition of wearing costumes was only a short time in the history of The Shadowhunters and not required in present day)

Malice hates all of it...

Malice was finally free from having to keep up his act, the first thing he did was go after Omen, Mal wanted Revenge for being trick and having to have such a stupid disguise as Lovett, so Malice weighted until Omen was fast asleep, he interred the outcast dream and there he discovered many hidden things about Judas...

To a Nightmare, Judas mind was both bizarre and wonderful, Judas mind was complicated thing it was broken but yet functional, some things we're keep lock and secure as others were opened and easy to obtain... What Mal discovered was that Judas was haunted by many people and memories of his past and Malice was not there to simply spectate....the Nightmare king seize control of Omen dreams, turning them into horrify nightmares, Mal had plenty of ammo to use in torturing Judas...he made him relive some of his most horrifying memories and twisted them more to cause as much pain and suffering as he could to the outcast... One of those memories was the night Alora die... Except Malice twisted it so it was like Judas had killed her...

When Omen woke up Malice learned a lesson he would never forget... Mal seen a side of Judas he never had before in his entire existence, Judas was the Broken and he kick Mal derriere royally, if it wasn't for his promises to keep Mal alive Judas would have killed the Nightmare king himself that night...but instead Judas left Mal to die...that was the only two options Judas had in that moment, walk away or finish Mal off himself.

Once Judas cool down, he felt bad for abandoning Mal in the critical state he was in, he went back and took Mal to one of his palaces and care for him until he was well enough to be on his own again

The two didn't talk much for a few years, Judas still look after Mal but he gave the Nightmare king his space, Judas was hurting inside from what Malice made him experience in his dreams and Malice was straight up terrify of Judas for a long time after nearly dying by him like he did.

Mal may had believed Omen trick him and made him a fool with making him have to use Lovett as an alternate identity but the truth was Judas knew if Mal could successfully pull off a disguise like Lovett that was completely opposite of a Nightmare and was obviously extremely difficult to tolerate but if Mal could handle Lovett and never be exposed as the Nightmare king, Mal could use just about any disguise as a believable alternate identity.

Judas was really preparing Malice for what he needed to know to survive but the Nightmare king couldn't understand this

Aaah that's amazing, Judas just asks for it sometimes.

Thankfully they don't dress up like that anymore, I think Mizu could pull it off, but Zero would rather be dead than wear that xD
