this description was written some time in late june or so last year:
a male metricus wasp (polistes metricus) that i found crawling up my leg while outside on the 7th of june or so.
(this drawing was started a few days after i found the wasp)
i kept the little guy because his wings had been chewed off or something and he couldnt fly.
sadly, he died in my hand on june 23rd.
he was a sweet baby-

--later in september of 2OI8, i found /another/ male metricus wasp that couldnt fly (one of his wings had gotten royally messed up he could only kind of glide fowards if he tried to fly from something a few feet up)
i kept him too because he probably wouldve gotten eaten by something or killed by a kitty if left alone. (male waps cant sting like females can, their only defense is biting)
i had him from september I4th (i found him right before florence hit) til november...28th.
he was precious little thing too like the wasp i found in june :'^)
he learnt that i kept his sugar water in a green bottle cap and if i held it near him, he would lean toward it with his tongue stuck out. made me smile every time he did it.
