Hiiro is often seen as cold-hearted or a complete meathead. He is a meathead at most times, but he's not cold-hearted.

Male Xanos don't often express much emotion, it's thought of as a sign of weakness amongst their species.

Hiiro was very sensitive as a kid. For various reasons, he was the only Xanos in his Kingdom to have fangs outside his mouth, often resulting in others making fun of him.

Out of his siblings, he is the only one with a red hide.

And he walks differently than most Xanos. Walking more similar to a crocodile (wide gait, dragging his front paws/claws over the ground with each step, keeping his arms out to the side)

Rosie had tried to mimick his walk, more than a couple times, but complain it hurt her arms after a few short steps.

Hiiro did what most males did, relied on brute force and violence to quiet (later permanently silence) those who made fun of him...

But someone came along and changed his way of dealing with his frustrations, his anger...

A water variant was the one who helped him. But it wasn't an easy task, Hiiro snapped, yelled, roared, etc... at her.

It startled her a few times, but she grew used to it and even found Hiiro amusing at times. She learned the key to dealing with him, was keeping calm and level-headed. And Hiiro had spewed some quite nasty insults at her.

And food was also the key, especially peaches. It didn't take her long (because of Rosie's help) to figure out which fruit he really liked.

Every male Xanos has a favorite food they'll calm right down for. You might get a huff or a hiss, but that's usually it. It's how females put up with overly aggressive males.

Food, food is always key with Xanos. Especially the men. Even young boys are grouchy.

Another way to calm a male dowm, is a fight. Hiiro loves to fight, he gets restless when his energy builds up, so he'll pick on others to get them to start a fight with him.

Hiiro is like a fire in a forest, if you don't keep an eye on it, keep it under control. It'll become wild, agressive and burn the forest down.

But if you keep an eye on it, the forest will be fine and the flame will stay under control.

Race him, wrestle him, challenge him to a dual/fight (human forms) or feed him peaches

Pretty much have him over exert himself. Hiiro loves a challenge and is too stubborn to back down.

Having him race you, is probably your best bet. Hiiro has a lot of weight he carries in his true form and running or flying for too long exhausts him. (Usually 30 mins and he's burnt out)

If he eats more than ten peaches, he starts to become groggy and mellow. No matter what form he's in.

Ooh, this was really fun to read! I like the way he stands and walks, and honestly, just how different he is from the rest of the Xanos in his kingdom. It gets me wondering why he's like that...
