i suggest using thin pencil and try looking at a picture of finn and drawing what you see in that pic

Cute!
I usually have two or three separate layers for lineart and colors. At the end, after I've touched everything up, I combine the layers into one. It prevents coloring "out of the lines" and gives everything that clean look.

To make your painting better you should try studying Finn a little more or you could study somebody elses (like mine) but any way, Good job.

i also feel you rushed this to much so take your time and relax and you will have a good drawing in no time
