Let's see, so would you be okay with us doing a roleplay that depicts Lumen giving Cherche and Niel their mission? It's only if you want to do that though, so let me know if you got other ideas :D)

(Awesome! I just got a few more things to ask >3< Is there any particular place Cherche tends to frequent? Like which country or particular location within a country can she be commonly seen at? ^0^)

It was a calming afternoon in Afai. The breeze was blissfully making the rounds as it gently embraced the countryside, scattering leaves from the lush foliage that covered the entirety of the country.

Walking along an overgrown dirt path were two travelers, both strikingly different in appearance.
One was a fair, kind-faced priestess. The other was an intimidating, patch-work samurai. Little did the two travelers know, that their paths would cross with anothers very soon.

(Tadaaaaa! All done! :D )

Niel was walking only a few steps ahead of Cherche. His gaze was fixated on the ground, as he tried to spot holes or undergrowth that might trip his friend.

"The rule I followed in Iclios was: ' 'If it's a snake, kill it.' '
Most snakes there are territorial and poisonous, so I never tried to identify them."

The talk of snakes made Niel a tad anxious. Absent-mindedly he reached for is Odachi's handle, palming it as if to be ready to draw it.

"But..... If the snakes here are different, I could stay my blade....."

Niel was listening intently on what Cherche had to say. Although, his attention was still on the ground, ensuring that Cherche's path would be a smooth one. At that moment was when she bumped into bumped into him. Releasing his white-knuckle grasp on his blade, Niel held out his hands to help stabilize Cherche.

"Hmmm?..."

Grunted Niel, as he peered out to confirm what Cherche was seeing. There was indeed someone ahead of them. From their current distance, not much could be made out of their appearance but, it was clear they were walking in their direction.

"I believe that's a person."

Niel as always, was extremely skeptical. His hand once again drifting to his Odachi's hilt.

Walking care, Niel led the way toward the stranger in the distance.

"I don't know, Aren't ghosts covered in the Destria spiritual knowledge thing? Shouldn't you know that?"

Niel thought ghosts only haunted at night, and around burial sites. But then again, "what did he know of ghosts?" he thought.

Around that time, the stranger in the distance drew closer, still too far away to make out in fine detail, but close enough to make their long white robes visible. This began to spook Niel a bit, as the appearance of the traveler fit just about every description of a ghost he had heard. But with the safety of Cherche to look after, he bolstered his bravery in a statement that he uttered with confidence.

"If it is a ghost, I will cleave right through it!"

Slowly, Lumen walked along the peaceful but overgrown dirt road. His feet seemed to glide over the leaves below him, making minimal but still audible noise. He saw two people ahead of him walking the same path as him.

That was all Niel needed. In one fluid motion, he drew his Odachi and brought it over his left shoulder in traditional Icliosian blade stance.

"If you wish it, Destria does too! I march with my blade blessed!"

With that, Niel charged forward in an all out dash. His blade occasionally glinted as it cleaved through beams of light during his forward assault of the ' 'Ghost.' '
As he strode, he roared a battle cry to help embolden his fighting spirit.

"FOR DESTRIAAAAAAA!"

Lumen's eyes suddenly widen as he saw one of the travelers in tne distance take up arms and begin sprinting toward him. This was very unexpected, as he had earlier written the two travelers off as being friendly.

Lumen started analyzing the assailent's equipment, from their blade down to their garments.
To his delight, it seemed the attacker was not wearing any armor. So stalwartly, Lumen stood his ground an bided his time, waiting for his unexpected opponent to throw the first blow.

(This is going to be grear xD)

(I couldn't have planned this even if I had tried! It's absolutely splendid! >3<)

(I can't contain my laughter xD Lumen is sure to trust them after this >3<)

Niel, with blade held high, was only a few feet from his opponent now. It appeared to be humanoid, but it was as white as death itself, and it's eyes seemed to glow an otherworldly pink. It just stared at him unblinking as he swung his blade down upon it. But just then, He heard Cherche yell something at him that made his heart sink. He wanted to withdraw his attack as soon as he heard her, but he was already commited to an all out attack with his Odachi.

Lumen watched keenly as his opponent closed in. He saw Niel's stance and began to prepare for his atracker's telegraphed strike.

As Niel's blade fell, Lumen sidestepped it with relative ease, drawing his knife and striking with remarkable speed.

Niel was caught off guard as his blade collided with dirt instead of its intended target: The ''ghost.' '

"What!?"

Completely caught of guard by the unusually fast counter-atrack of Lumen, Niel barely brought his blade in front to block.

(Okee dokes! seeya when you get back! ^0^)

Niel drew his blade back and began jabbing and slashing at Lumen, alternating the pattern in hopes of catching him off guard.

Lumen continued to dodge Niel's attacks. It seemed blow after blow reigned down upon him, but just like the very first attack from Niel, they all struck air.
Niel became more and more fatigued after each assault. Eventually, he stepped back to disengage from his opponent, agrivated by his failure to land a single blow.

"Damn you ghost! Know your place! My blade is backed by the goddess Destria! You can not win!"

With that, Niel bellowed as he charged forward for one last might strike.

Lumen's ears twitched at the mention of his being a ' 'Ghost.' '
Immediately, he knew a grave mistake had been made. Quickly, he spoke up about it.

"Wait! Please! There has been a big misunderstanding! I am not a ghost!"

Niel growled in anger at the deception his etherial foe attempted. Did it truly think he'd fall for that?

"Silence aperition! Your lies won't work!"

Niel paused his attack stood beside Cherche, his blade in a defensive stance.

Lumen stood straight, staring at Cherche and Niel with an agrivated look on his face.
He hoped that maybe they would come to the realization he was not a ghost after a failed ward.

Niel's stance never wavered as he heard the explaination for the failed banishment of the previously assumed ghost. In truth, Niel was tired. He had expended a signifigant amount of his energy in his duel with the creature.

"T-then I'll.....I'll....How do I kill one of tho-"

"ENOUGH!"

Cried Lumen, immense agrivation could be detected in his voice. He was actually quite offended, for these strangers had somehow mistook him for a member of the undead and now a spawn darkness.

"Riddle me this! If I were vampire or a ghost, would I not be repelled by the sun?"

Gesturing emphattically with his arms at the sky, which was letting in a little more sun now than it was before. Lumen's hair and robes swung hap-hazardly in disarray.

(Aye! I am extremely tired, and I regrettfully must retire for bed D:

But know this: I have had a tremendous amount of fun with this roleplay! It is fantastic! I love Cherche so much! xD

Niel looked over his shoulder back at Cherche, a look of extreme worry showing through even the thick wrappings that covered his face.

"Prince of darkness?! What are the chances?! Is he even slayable?!"

Lumen facepalmed, a gesture of dismay that he rarely performed, but it seemed these two travelers had provoked such a response in him. Letting down his daggers on the ground in front of him, Lumen recited ancient text from destria tomes.

"To my children I bestow the power to banish those who would defile my creations. This power is Faith. This is the sword by which evil shall fall."

(Aye! Mine has been acting wonky lately too. My area had a blackout a while back from a lightning bolt, so I might need to get my motem checked for damage perhaps ;-:)

Niel culled over what Cherche said, before going to her side and putting a hand on her shoulder in hopes of comfortung her. In truth, Niel was in a state where some comforting would be appreciated. Although, he tried his best to hide this.

"Please Cherche, we mustn't lose hope! Perhaps this entity before us serves both light and dark? Maybe it won't harm us...."

Looking over his should back at Lumen, Niel stared wearily.

The more devious side of Lumen's mind kicked in. If he could not convince the two strangers he was friendly, perhaps he could use their fear to his advantage. Shaking the horrible thought aside, he once again tried to reason with them.

"I swear on my ancestors graves that I am none of these things. I am merely a traveler, nothing more. Please believe me."

(Yeah, my thoughts exactly xD)

Returning her gaze, Niel felt the pressure of the situation. Normally he faced situations with the edge of his blade. But it seemed that was not an option this time. Holding her shoulder tight, he voiced his opinion.

"Maybe he speaks the truth. You saw how he fought. If we he wanted us dead, he would have done it already......"

Lumen stared anxiously. He was still unsure if the two would come to a consensus that was not hostile toward him. So patiently he awaited their decision.

"There are tales in Iclios of beings like he. Forest gods who rule over their divine territory with inhuman techniques.....It said anyone who gets on their badside perish."

Niel felt the bandages on his face briefly, a sad look on his face for just a moment. Perhaps the blind man who did this to him was one of those things? He shrugged the thought aside as he dealt with the situation at hand.

"I don't think we are in a position to bargain.....All we can do is hope-pray that he stays benevolent.....Even after our pruor actions...."

With hopes of showing he had no intent of harming them, Lumen shed an unusually disarming smile.

It is extremely funny! I absolutely love how Cherche and Niel play off eachother xD And Lumen just makes the situation all the more chaotic! It's just perfect! >3<)

Almost immediately, Niel felt better. Cherche had a knack for curing weariness, a gift that destria had bestowed upon her, to help others, he thought. Stalwartly believing in Cherche's abilities to talk, Niel stayed quiet to best let her talk them out of possible death.

Lumen shook his head in defeat. It seemed there was no way of convincing these two that he was not a demi-god.
In truth, he very human. The two had taken him quite off guard, and the strength of the patch-work swordsmans would have crushed his defense if he ever tried to block his mightiest blow. The two seemed capable enough. So to make the best of a bad situation, Lumen spoke to the confused yet clearly pure of heart duo.

"I too am a follower of the divine mother destria. Through me she does many things, but even I have my limits....Perhaps you could help me?"

(Aye! Or mine! >3<)

(It's no problem! Plenty here to go off of ^0^)

Lumen cringed at him being called ' 'Oh mighty.' ' He felt as though what he was doing right now was in direct contradiction to his faith in destria. Let alone that, his basic morals normally would not allow this. What had he become? He thought, before replying to Cherche.

"I am Lumen. At least, that is what others have called me. What I need is for you to deliver a message for me. A letter."

Niel stared wide-eyed at the back and forth between the two.

Niel flinched and nodded emphatically in blond agreement, as he hadpartially blanking out at what was going on.

"R-right! We are more than capable of.....That?..."

Nodding approvingly, Lumen retrieved the letter from his robes and held it out for Cherche.

"I would have it no other way. Now please, take this. I need you two to take it safely, quickly and directly to a Shark hybrid in Freia by the name of Kamaria. Where in Freia it needs to be delivered to is written on the envelope."

(Ima brb real quick! Gotta use the bathroom xD)

"Yes, very hot I hear. I would go myself, but I have a task given to me by destria that I must see through first."
Said Lumen, his face resolute.

Niel tried to wrap his head around this ' 'Shark' ' that was being mentioned. For the life of him, he could not recall what it was exactly, accept that it was a fish of some kind.

"So some kind of fish or something?...."

Whispered Niel to Cherche.

Niel was imagining something more akin to a dolphin, only with a human torso standing in the desert. He shook his head at the strange thought and spoke as well.

"What she said..."

Lumen took a few slow, graceful steps toward the two. He held out the envelope once again, in hopes Cherche would take it into her care.

"Splendid! I knew I could count on you two! Er, what were your names again? I can not seem to recollect receiving them yet...."

At the sound of his name, Niel looked up and raised a hand, his voice grunting out a greeting.

"Hey..."

A sigh of relief escaped Lumen. He disliked his own means of recruiting the two, but he could not deny the convenience of it all. The pair were so clumsy and unattached, that no one would suspect them as messengers of such an important letter. But then again, he was unsure if they would succeed. They were a bit disfunctional.

"Well Cherche, Niel, you have certainly spread hope to me. Thank you. This like a burden lifted.....Just be sure not to lose it! It is very important it gets to the recipient before the end of the month! So I implore you for godspeed."

(I don't mind! :D Get some sleep! I'm pretty tired myself tbh xD Thank you so much for joining to roleplay today! Once again, fantastic work! The chemistry between Cherche and Niel is perfect! They play off eachother to make some pretty darn good comedy >3< Anyways, hood night! Until next time! ^0^)
