I never watched Star Wars. My dad always tells me I should. XD

I'm doing pretty good! Working on some art this evening, so I might be slow at times.

You probably should. They're pretty good.

'Yes, sir,' Fred answered immediately. 'Sargon is dead. We caught him after he fled from his execution, and succeeded in killing him.'

'Yep,' said Crowley, smirking. 'It's gonna be awesome. We can just go wherever we want and take whatever we want. Anything you wanna do in Shacklestone now that's nobody's around?'

'She's three thousand? Geez. I can't even imagine what it's like to exist for that long,' said Armin. 'And as a vampire, I could live that long if nothing happened to me. Though to be honest, I hope I don't.'

{The general chuckles.}
General: "Good. I guess there's only one thing left to do now but to mourn our dead and celebrate our victory. Where is the body?"
Dianne: "In the street."
General: "...What? You can't just leave his corpse in the street! What if the children see?"
Dianne: "Alright, where's your morgue?
General: "Fifth street, a few lanes down west."

{Vitis takes a moment to think.}
"Nothing immediately comes to mind. What about you?"

'What children?' said Ivy. 'Everyone except the military evacuated, right? There aren't any children...'

Frederick cleared his throat. 'Still, I'd prefer if his body was in the morgue and not just... decomposing on the sidewalk.' He looked at Dianne. 'Are you going to move him, or shall I?'

'Ehh, I dunno... I always kinda wanted to break into some of the big expensive houses in the Gold District. You know, the ones belonging to the really /really/ rich people. I couldn't get into most of them before, they were too guarded.'

{Magnus laughs at Armin's reaction.}
"Yeah, well, she's not about to take her own life. And, she is hard to perish. This was kind of the only recourse."

'I guess you get used to living so long after a while,' mused Armin. 'Is her species immortal, or just long-lived? Vampires never die unless we get killed by something. We can't die of natural causes.'

{Dianne shrugs.}
Dianne: "Eh, I can get him."
{Dianne turns and walks out. The general waits till she leaves before speaking.}
General: "...Is she...always like that? Insensitive, I mean, why would she just leave the guy in the street? Sure, he's a criminal, but...surely he doesn't deserve that? And she talks about him like...he's dirt. I dunno, maybe it's just me..."

'She is usually like that,' said Frederick dryly. 'But in this case, I wouldn't judge her too harshly. Sargon was far more than just 'a criminal'. He killed hundreds of humans and left their homes in ruins, not to mention leading nearly a thousand non-humans to their deaths. He deserves no respect.'

{Vitis grins.}
"Oooh, yeah, they got all the good stuff. And, with no one there, we can take whatever we want!"

'Maybe we'll even find dead bodies! That would be so cool!' said Crowley with a creepy laugh.

(Switching from computer to DS now, so I'll be slower.)

{Magnus looks around, as to make sure no one was listening.}
"Actually, her species is not inherently immortal. Yes, long lived, but not immortal. Do you remember when I told you of her past? Remember the ritual I mentioned that gave her power, when she was part of that cult? Well, that ritual did something to her. Ever since then, her eyes have been black and red, and she stopped aging. Not sure how, but that ritual made her immortal."

{Vitis' expression shifts.}
"Why would that be cool? haven't you had enough dead things chasing you around?"

{The general just sighs.}
"Well, if you insist. Is there anything else we need to discuss?"

'Huh. That's interesting.' Armin gazed off into the distance for a moment, thinking. 'I wonder whether she /intended/ to become immortal, or whether it was just a weird side-effect of the ritual. Personally, I'd never have chosen to be immortal.'

'Dead things are interesting,' said Crowley. 'Not as interesting as alive things, though. I can't pick fights with dead things. Unless they're zombies.'

'I don't think so, sir,' Frederick responded. 'Oh, but just so you know - most of our group will probably be leaving the city after we're done... partying. So if you need to talk to us about anything, I'd recommend doing it before the celebrations.'

{The general nods.}
“Of course. I just wanted to formally thank you for your service to the state. If any of you need anything at all, just ask.”

(Hey, is the king ever going to come back?)

(I'd forgotten about that guy. XD Maybe I'll make him come back during the celebrations or afterwards.)

'Ohh, could I ask you for something?' said Ivy eagerly. 'You see, I really want to settle down and live here... but I don't have any money, because everything I had was in Shacklestone... I don't suppose there's anywhere I could stay, just while I look for a job?'

{Magnus thought for a moment.}
“I don’t think she considered the consequences. I think she just wanted revenge, no matter the cost.”

{Vitis just turns his attention back to the road.}
“Sure, can’t see what’s interesting about a corpse though.”

Armin nodded. 'That's what wanting revenge does to you. You're willing to do almost anything to get it - even if it might screw up your life or someone else's.' He stood up. 'Anyway, I should probably be getting back. I need to know exactly when this party's happening.'

Crowley considered. 'Weeeell, I guess you have a point. Corpses aren't that interesting, cuz they don't do anything. But /killing people/ is fun.'

{The general nods.}
"Of course. You can stay in your palace room until you can get on your feet."

{Magnus stands as well }
"Yes, I want to find out as well. I'd like to get on the entertainment list."

Ivy smiled. 'Thank you very much. It's very generous of you.'

'Well, we'd better go now,' said Frederick. 'The others will be happy to know we don't have anything to do except prepare for the celebrations.' He nodded respectfully at the general. 'Sir.' Both he and Ivy started to walk out of the room.

'Wonder who's going to be organising everything?' Armin wondered as he started on his way back to the palace. 'I suppose I can help out, if they need me.'

Vitis: "Yeah, but everyone else in Shacklestone is dead. No one left to kill."

(I think we should timeskip to the start of the party soon, as long as you didn't have anything planned. What do you think?
It'll only be a small timeskip, so hopefully it won't interfere with anything King is doing.)

'Yeah, that's a shame,' said Crowley. 'Oh well, it just means they'll be nobody to stop us stealing stuff. And if for some reason we DO run into anyone, we can just kill 'em. Win-win.'

{The general waved the group off as they left. Jerry (Who I forgot about XD) turns to Ivy.}
"So, what kind of job were you thinking about getting here?"

Magnus: "Yeah, I need to find Dianne so she can fix my hand. I can't play one handed. Maybe the Sovereigns need help with the heavy stuff?"

(I have no problem with that. Let's do that.)

(Jerry has Frederick Syndrome, everyone forgets he exists.
And alrighty! I'll do that in a little while.)

Ivy made a thoughtful noise. 'I'm not sure yet. I need to see what kind of jobs are available around here. I don't really have any skills, so... I have to get a job that anyone could do.'

'I'm not even sure where the party is being held,' said Armin. 'Somewhere in the palace, I'm guessing.'

{Jerry gives Ivy a thoughtful look.}
"Have you gone to college? Got a degree?"

{Magnus nods.}
"Makes sense. Well, I'm off to find Dianne. Let me know what you find."

'No,' said Ivy ruefully. 'I got a job right out of high school. Worked in a supermarket until Sargon took over the city. I never went to college. I probably should have.'

{Jerry nods.}
“Well, it would have qualified you for much higher positions, but it was ultimately your decision. Y’know, if I stay here, I’ll probably open up an detective agency here. If that happens, you could work for me.”

Ivy looked up at him, seeming interested and a little surprised. 'Really? You'd do that? I'd love to.'

Jerry: “Well, yeah. You seem to be able to handle yourself in dangerous situations well, so yeah. I’d be happy to hire you. Besides, chasing bad guys is a lot more exciting than flipping burgers.”

Ivy laughed. 'Well, I've always dreamed of doing something exciting and dramatic. That's why I wanted so badly to help you guys beat Sargon.'

(Gotta go!)

{Jerry smirks.} “And what did you think about this whole experience? Is this really what you want to do for the rest of your life?”

'Yes... I think I could,' said Ivy, smiling slightly. 'I feel like this sort of dangerous lifestyle is perfect for me.'

Jerry: "Well, that's good to hear. But before I hire you, however, I need to set up shop, and...you need to get better at aiming."

Ivy rolled her eyes. 'My aim is fine. Anyway, I hope you manage to find a nice place to set everything up.'

Jerry: " Thank you, Ivy. Once Dianne gives me back my money, things should move along very quickly."

'Good luck,' said Ivy, with a wink. 'I'm sure you'll have a good place in no time.'
