Of course, this is of his true form, where he can't hide his true eyes.

Elijah's true eyes have one of two affects. All depending on his relationship with someone.

Captain, Airiah and Nina would feel calm and safe looking into his eyes.

Others/Strangers, that Elijah doesn't know or care about, would feel an intense sense of dread. Of hopelessness.

It would feel like staring into the eyes of Death itself.
