Mal true form originally wasn't so large, he was big but not that BIG, after Skey stared I noticed a few things kept occurring in the RP, that a few of the member we're gigantic and easily push their weight around, I like to try and make things a bit more realistic and I also noticed with the ever first Nightmare the group encountered did not go how I plan... Everyone was supposed to run from that Nightmare and go into the Temple where it was safe, it's why I even pumped up the nightmares level for a man lower rank to a higher one but not very many read host since very well. ':D but we were all new to the RP and I have a unusual RP that people were not expecting ( man I was so awful at writing back then ) but as I look back that set the pace of the RP that it was going to be more focused on action and character development then story and character growth.

I had to tweaked a lot of things to accommodate others, Mal size was one of them, I have to have things make sense or it bugs me, it's why I have a reason for almost everything, why Mal eyes are that color, why Nightmares do certain things. And having a Clydesdale size Nightmare going up against giant dragons wasn't going to add up in my mind, expecially after discovering brute strength Trump's all over strategy and Magic. (Which kind of sucks for me because I love strategy and Magic :'D but it's why Catch is pretty worthless in a fight in Skey, I swear in the original story he was not so pathetic, at least now he getting better and is being fun to use again )

The War horse was another one who got a size increase in Skey for the same reason.but I'll talk about Omen later.

It was pretty easy to adjust Malice size and make it makes sense, over time a Nightmare power and turned into dark Magic, the corruption would start making the Nightmare body grow twisting the Dreamer frame even more with Darkness, the other way to explain such a vast size difference is how much are individual goes into the tormented form and Mal has done that more then any other Nightmare

Now a Nightmare tormented form has always been huge.

Now to answer the question that was asking, when Malice obtain the frame that he is in, it was the same size as a Dreamer, but Mal had to work harder in it, his frame didn't have a main source a light Eater needed to fully mature, so he went wild but over time as he did mature and grow more powerful Malice frame grew as well. Making Mal an even more intimidating and powerful creature

[ Mal history]

During that time of Soledormir rain, Malice was nothing more than a puppet on a string, he had no will of his own and only did what Sol or Shoji told him to do. Sol like to mix his own power with Mal and make the Nightmare king go on tormented rampages.

One Soledormir was sealed, Mal was nothing more than a Savage Beast let loose with no one to control him, he was still running off the power of the chaos King but Sol was sealed and Shoji was missing. In this time frame was called 'the wrath of Malice' it's we're Mal made his most bloodiest reputation.

his instincts were haywire and all he knew was to gain more power, Everything was free gain to Malice, the oldest Nightmares would remember this time and why Mal should be feared, Mal hunt his own kind, killing off the strongest ones and taking their power. The ones who survived later became ancients but as you know there are only a handful of intelligence ones

Malice not only hunted his own kind but other dark creatures, making his territory in the shadow realm itself and his den at it's heart.

No one was safe from Malice wrath, driven by his instincts the Nightmare King was relentless against the land of dreams, attacking the people, both for food and to spread corruption.

One of Soledormir last orders were to eliminate any remnants of the kings, all of the forsaken Lord seen to fulfill this command but Malice out of all of them had the most revengeful brutality

Example: Malice hunted down Alexandria, Faithful dreamers wife, he believe he killed her by running a blade through a chest and leaving her to burn in her and Faye one home, but he didn't stop there, Mal and his Nightmares hunted down the Vaseterm that took residence in the land of dreams, no silver blood was shown Mercy, those who tried to flee the world Mal track them down and killed them, only a lucky few escape the wrath of Malice and the other forsaken Lords.

Even in present day silver bloods who know better treat the land of dreams as a death zone, the land of dreams is Malice territory and Omen frequently patrols the land...there not even the worst, Void, is usually the first to know if a silver Blood has shown it's self in the land of dreams and he the one who sick something after them.

When doing random RP with Vaseterm in the land of dreams, I usually have Omen show up, this is both out of fun and it's also Cannon, if a silver blood reveals themselves, if close enough Omen would since them or Void would tip the outcast, either way Omen would be draw like a moth to the flame because of Killy

The wrath of Malice also intertwines with the /Forsaken wars/. Once Soledormir was sealed Mal instincts were haywire, he knew he wanted power and without Sol to keep Mal on a leash, the Nightmare king attacked the other forsaken Lords, he did this to try establish a ranking between them, the two who fought the most was Mal and Demise, both wanted the land of dreams as there's. Demise also had the hots for Mal but this infatuation was even before the Nightmare king as she like to flirt with both Dreamer Prince's for their charming looks, she when after Mal more because as a Nightmare his appearance became even more attractive.

The battle between Demise and Mal went back and forth for the longest time, Demise had more experience as Mal had brutality, however when it came to Mal tormented form against Demise, he always won, making him higher in his mind on the order in The Forsaken Lourdes.

Rage didn't care but Mal keep picking fights with him, the two would clash leaving devastation in their wake, expecially Rage in his true form and Mal in his tormented form, but Malice never technically won a fight between them, ether Rage would get bored and move on or fall asleep, or he kicked Mal derriere severely, some of those beatings were so severe Mal to this day fear Rage do to his survival instincts. The funny thing is Danny never lost his temper, he just thinks Mal annoying but really don't care, So Mal views himself higher on the forsaken ladder then Rage

Now Void on the other hand was very much different, he never showed himself to Malice, instead he used the chaos the Nightmare king and the others made to his advantage, he work behind the scenes changing history, wiping out Soledormir and the king's history so later generations would only have heard of Whispers. he let Mal do whatever he wanted like a spoiled child with no one to challenge him. Void had hoped something or someone would kill Malice because of his brutal recklessness but no one did and that was thanks to Omen...

Judas made this promise to two people, Shoji and Faye ( in Mal talk with his mother, Shoji hinted about Judas not only keep her promise but his as well )
Judas had his hands full with the young Nightmare king, like previous lore and what you read so far in this one, tell that Malice was wild and Savage, why was his instincts going haywire? It's because Malice was really premature... Though he was in an adult Dreamer frame Mal as a light Eater was still young and only maturity wise 14 to 16... Because of this Mal show a lot of his light Eater habits only in the body of a Nightmare, it's why he went berserk, starved for power, but he had enough intelligence to him to be able to learn.

(When I tell a story I like to weave characters together, one compliments another /or/ illustrate something similar with one to help show what that might had been like for that other person.)

Cataclysm is to show that this is possible, though he looks the same as Catch, maturity was, he is not, Catty is closer to 13 to 15, he has eaten enough of Catch to have intelligence and awareness but no we're near an adult light Eater. However because of the unique circumstance Catch is, Catty isn't completely nuts and Savage like Mal was at this age, that because of Catch silver Blood, Catty only has some of Catch memories but can still function logically because he is still intertwined with Catch heart, he can learn because Catch can learn.

Another illustration was when Judas was fighting Crimson in his flashback, Judas made mental note during the sword fight that fighting Crimson was like deja vu with Mal, showing without really showing just how crazy and wild Mal was like in his younger years. That was also about the same age of Crimson....(odd how so many things have unusual coincidences, hehe ewe )

Fast forward couple thousand years, Malice had finally started to mature, he changed his hunting tactics from being reckless to deception, it was the first time he used his human form since killing everyone his former self loved. As Sol hated Mal humanoid form, even to the point Shoji had to make it that light Eater smell good so what when there Nightmare they smell go to, this was all because Mal frame was half human and smelled of human ( trust me, there lore on EVERYTHING )

Malice did mess up a few times at the beginning, imitating whole-chest behavior was difficult and hard at first for Mal but with Omen assassination guidance, Mal leaned how to better stay under cover, and eliminating those who discover the truth.

Malice leaned to keep his true form and his alternate forms separated when he did tasks, history would know Malice as the Nightmare king, a legendary beast that could destroy entire cities in one night, his name was something other Nightmare feared as his human and griffin form would go on to be one of the first to start the new Shadows hunters.

Malice lived a double life for a long time, one as a villain as the other a hero, Mal often had to fake his own death or disappear off and on working for the Shadows hunters, King Griffin only live to be a 1000 and as a Nightmare, Mal would out live that and that would be suspicious.

Malice is also the only Nightmares to be under cover with the shadowhunter, any other Nightmare would be caught but Mal can get away with this because of Void and Demise are both secretly members of the council who over see the Shadows hunters...

When it comes to the manual testing for corruption with any Shadows Hunter member, Void has a way to show Malice test records as negative
So as long as Mal doesn't draw attention to himself, no one would expect him to being the Nightmare king, unless he bleeds... As a shadowhunter Mal make a reputation of not getting hit or at least not cut, his records may show him not being a corrupted creature but the color of his blood would so he made sure not to get cut

Malice most recent alternate ego is Urufu, unfortunately Mal true identity was discovered super fast in Skey so a ton of Mal true deception was never showed but even with that Urufu was different around the key Hunters then other people, this was partially on purpose and partially because I felt obligated in making him more aggressive and flirtatious to accommodate others.

Right from the get-go most everyone characters were suspicious of Urufu and wanting to reveal his true identity, I completely understand why though, nobody likes to be tricked or there characters played as fools but if I played him properly and didn't announce Mal and Urufu as the same person, chances are it would have been a lot longer before Mal was revealed.

In my regional story it actually took two years before Mal true identity was revealed to the group, as in Skey it wasn't even a week. I'm kinda glad I had Zitan tip off Hirro or this would have really bug me. Hiiro kinda a Meathead and there not to many in the group who are detectives :'D

I learned from my mistakes and experimented with Omen, it's why I didn't announce him as both Killy and Judas, to see if people could figure out the puzzle, that why was Omen so weird in Skey but the troll troll Omen was so likable, why certain things didn't make since in the hints I posted about him in lore...
Skey was always meant to be a mystery solving story, with puzzles and riddles...
but things don't always work out. And well everyone got Soledormir...this isn't the first time everyone got Sol and unfortunately I doubt it will be the last.

Unfortunately a lot of things Mal did or would have done as Urufu he doesn't do much any more, because he doesn't have to be deceptive, it's why he hardly ever in his grinffin form because he doesn't see a purpose for accept for flying, and why he doesn't use his healing Magic because he doesn't have to trick people he something he's not.

Soledormir is my most evil and deceptive villain

One of the most latest reveals in Skey was Malice true purpose, that he has been a prison for Faithful Dreamer...I'm pretty sure everyone just assumed he was dead, Catch seen a flash back of Mal killing someone with the same face as Mal, but as it's been said before Visions aren't always what one assume...Judas even said they can be riddles.

there was small hints about this here and there, one of the greatest one was when Azamuku identity was revealed, and the price he had to pay for learning Soledormir past, /that death is too kind.../ Meeting Faithful dreamer who also discovered Sol past is also alive...and been forced to watch Malice wreak havoc for 20,000 years, killing people the Dreamer Prince loved, watching his people and many others suffer by Malice and he could do nothing but watch.

Soledormir evil go far more than that, Faye believed his wife was murdered but later found out Alexandria was not, because Catch exist, his great descendant this both joy and great sorrow to the Prince, his wife must had lived but with that the bitter reality that he never got to meet his own child, their daughter.

And now Faye is forced to endure an even greater torture, Malice was given a heart that belongs to Faye, it doesn't hold his memories or soul but it does hold his emotions that Malice is twisting unintentionally Into his own.

If you want to know how far a foresight, Catch very first vision and all the ones after, Catch could feel the people in the Visions from emotions like they were his own but clearly we're not, he felt Faye love for Alexandria but Catch didn't love her, he felt Faolan jealousy but had no reason to be jealous, this was all to prep for Faye reveal.

I will admit it was a bit choppy about revealing Faye, I had grander plans but do to circumstances I worked with what I'm given. And over all it still works out for Soledormir.

Soledormir most evilest game, a life for a life.

This was the main reason why, I always said don't fall for Mal because he break your heart, because I knew what Malice truly was, a prison for the man who the key Hunters should thank for giving them a Fighting Chance against Soledormir.

( But the one who fell for Mal was me :'D I used to absolutely hate the guy before Skey but he really grow on me because out of my characters he showed the most 'character growth' besides Crim )

What will become of Malice and Faye? Well that is something I leave up to those in Skey, but know I designed this puzzle to be solved by more then one person and I purposely made ties with Mal and Faye to every candidate.

the lives of some of my favorite characters are in your hands...

That was awesome to read!

Let's be real, the beginning of SKeys was a gigantic, chaotic, mess.
I, at the time, wasn't use to rps with an actual deep story. So I didn't put much thought into what my characters did or anything of the sort.

Even when we started BlueQui, I didn't think too deep about things/characters. I wasn't used to it. But it was a fun adventure, learning more about your characters and finally thinking more deeply on things :D

Haha oh my goodness, tell me about it x'D I think we all have definitely come a long way since the beginning of Skey, I know I did a ton of clenching stuff, that I look back on and like oh why did I do that! Or ahhhh! Why didn't I see that coming! XD

I think everyone has grown since the early days of Skey, and a lot of it is just learning other people's play style and our own :)
It's definitely been a fun adventure so far and I look forward to continuing it. :D

Ooooh wow this is really helpful! Lots of revealers and even old RP rants XD Thank you!

Honestly I don't know how many of us were invested for a deep-thinking mystery story when we joined. I suck at mysteries unless the hints dropped are incredibly obvious, and trying to figure them out frustrates me. X'D I'll admit I don't try very hard to understand the minute details going on because I can't seem to invest in them. I am learning, though. 'x)

Also, I think I figured something out... Mal going rampant at a young age, Crimson rampant at a young age, Catch nearly losing himself at a young age... I know the reason why.
It's puberty.

Gosh, I love reading about your characters. It never fails to amaze me how you literally have a reason for /everything/ and how you plan so far ahead and still manage to make it work, even with juggling all the characters and us in the Role play. I know I've said this before, but it's true XD

Yep, I agree, the beginning of SKey was a mess XD Knowing what I know now, about my character and just things overall, there is so much I would change about some of what I did. Although, I'm honestly glad it was a mess, even if it's too cringy to look back on. At the beginning of it I was a much different person, and I can honestly say that had my little 14 year old mind fully gasped just how this rp would be working, I most likely would have felt too intimidated to join, hah.

Eeeee
I haven't ever really read any of the sessions, there's too many for me. But I do enjoy mysteries and what not! I love when writers leave things unsaid or hidden 0w0
it makes the story all the more captivating!
Anyway Malice is a pretty cool villian aha, even with the little info I know on him x'D

Re: Lol! Funny how it's sometimes hardest to see those things in our own stories. XD I always feel like my stories are too shallow and lazy. But you've been working on yours for years, so yours has gotten really deep, and every aspect is thought out.

Yeah, it's definitely helpful. Thanks for doing that, by the way. x)

Without a doubt. XD
