I usually design the humanoid form, but if you want to, you can. Her horns would look like #FGCacophany (alpha rank girls), but her patterns and anatomy would be like #LSNyxia (Keep in mind Nyxia is sort of in a tippy toe pose in that ref, her legs should be bent like Tobias's are.)

The tails have 8 beads and five armored patches (As you will see on all Niironox human forms)

Re// They're mostly based on dragon anatomy, yes (think alligators and humans for the front arms, as in, the arms aren't locked at the sides like wolves are)

Their instincts and nature were loosely based around how wolves behave and live (in packs). They use howls and barks/yips to communicate long distances. But they're also capable of plain speaking, like we do, but it would be distorted sounding in their true forms (normal sounding in their humanoid/human forms)

An Alpha usually leads his/her own pack (anywhere from 5 to 30 Niironox in a pack). But it's up to you what her personality is. Is she strict on her pack? Is she caring/loving towards her pack? Etc...

She could also be a loner. But that would also make her an easier target for hunters (humans, elves, etc..) or other Niironox who would want her rank.

But their world is a dog eat dog world, only the toughest survive.

Also if you look at Fade's ref for Cacophany, you'll see she gave her scars and cracked/broken plates. You're welcome to do the same.

Well yes, they can shift into human forms, if you read the info post there, it's not a pleasant experience. But you're welcome to have her use it as often as you want.

She would indeed be a dirty blonde, blondie, or dark red head. A half shave works, so do braids, ponytails, etc...

Their legs in the humanoid form are shaped around a satyrs/fauns, yup. Just no hair/fur on them. Only armored scales on the arms/legs. And quills usually attach lower back and sometimes near the base of her tail.

Their Deity was believed to give her life to create the species, living in each and every Niironox. Some believe by praying to her, they'll be blessed with good hunting/health/etc... But they typically don't pray often or spend a lot of time doing it.

Certain packs do have different morals. Some believe (for example) they have to eradicate all the humans and will mercilessly hunt them down. While others find it appalling and want peace. Other packs might be wary (aggressive usually) of outsiders and will keep their pack small and close together (as in relationship/bonding wise)

Little side note: The more scarred a Niironox is, the more it's thought of being a bad omen, others would usually avoid one like this.

For traditions, I'm still thinking about it. But it would center around the New Moon & New Year.

Alphas are usually the max height and bulk of a Niironox.

Alpha's (True form) usually go from 30 - 40 ft tall (some get bigger, usually males)

(Humanoid) 5'0-5'8

(Human) 5'2 - 6'5
Female Niironox are generally smaller compared to males (of the same rank)

A female Alpha next to a female Beta (lowest rank) would be taller, stronger and faster.

Betas are tiny (usually 3'0 - 4'5' in their humanoid forms. 10ft - 15ft in their true forms)

For moving up in the ranks, they usually challenge the one above them

For example:

A Beta could attack a Warrior, but even that is risky for the small guys/girls. A one on one is almost certain death, unless the Warrior is very weak/injured. Even then, it's a gamble, a risk.

Betas will often form their own packs and are usually the ones responsible for large numbered packs. By doing this, they form a bond and learn who is the best suited leader. One or two Betas will take over leading.

When their numbers grow big and their pack bond strong, is when Alphas need to be on high alert. These low ranked packs will ambush an Alpha, when the time is right. Usually waiting until the Alpha is secluded or they've picked off a good chunk of the Alpha's pack.

The Alpha then, would be in a fight for his/her life. Literally. If the Alpha dies, then whoever killed him/her. Receives his/her rank.

As I said above, sometimes Beta packs have 2 Leaders, the leaders will fight to the death and the victorious one will give the Alpha the killing bite.

The first thing that happens is the horns of the Beta fall off. Over the course of the next week, he/she will rapidly grow in size and strength. At the end of the week, the new Alpha is in full size, strength and his/her powers are much more brutal.

And the new Alpha will have its own pack, that's why they bond as Betas. The Betas will be loyal to the Alpha to the end.

Only a few Niironox have an instinct to be Alpha, all Niironox have an instinct to follow someone. They're naturally social creatures and without it, would likely waste away and die.

A Beta fighting an Alpha one on one is laughable, the Alpha would swat it away like a pest and if the Beta didn't learn. Well then, it becomes the Alpha's new chew toy (to put it mildly).

Also as they're picking of the Alpha's pack, they're killing Warrior ranked Niironox. So by the time a new Alpha is made, the new pack is a mix of all ranks (usually 1-4 Warrior ranks)

For symbols, they would etch into trees or rocks, the symbol of their pack. Using their claws and teeth. To mark their territory.

For the main symbol, an Alpha could wear it, on her shoulder or face (usually cheek). And it wouldn't be in paint, it would be clawed into her flesh, as a permanent mark.

Most don't bother with markings though, it's tedious and time consuming. Usually resorting to scent markers.

For Earth abilities, she would likely use it, to build an underground home for her and her pack (if she has one). She can manipulate the earth to move out of her way (making tunnels with ease), but the longer she uses it and more extremely she does, she would become ravenously hungry and tired.

Extreme use, would be forming spikes out of the earth or forming pitfall traps that mean certain death at the bottom.

For minor, she could have the earth suck in and hold someone's paw. Trip them with a sudden dip in the ground, etc... Mainly silly little things.

She, because of her coloring, would be best suited for dry and desert environments. She could use her abilities to pack sand so tightly, it would feel and act like rocks. Or she could just form it into rocks (because it's fantasy and I say so, huzzah! Magic~)
