Ever since he was young,not only did he idolize his parents,X and Alpha,but a friend of theirs,Axl.When Leonard was old enough to begin training,Axl became his main mentor.Not only did he teach him how to use handguns,but also vital skills a Maverick Hunter needs that neither parent had covered.
Over time,Leonard not only saw Axl as a mentor,but a lifelong friend.
When he first became a hunter,Axl gave Leonard his first weapon to keep.
"These are my very first guns.They are very special to me.And now,they are yours,as a token of your hard work and our frienship."Axl said when he gave Leonard the guns."Besides,I have plenty!"
Every time Leonard is out on a mission,his weapon serves as a reminder to be grateful for his friend and for everyone who had mentored him.
