I have to say, some things about him might change over time, as I'm still trying to work out the magic system and lore for Talorai (his world), and I haven't even thought about him in forever, so I might tweak his personality some as well 'XD But, generally speaking, he's a goofball with a big heart who nearly killed everyone and is now a somewhat amnesiac, and the few times he gets serious, he's scary serious.

So far it seems only a few people are interested in actually joining the RP, but that's fine, I'm still working on a lot of stuff for it anyway, so it's going to be a loong time, I think, before a first session will ever get posted XP
I still gotta work on maps and stuff too, they'll come eventually

(I didn't bother drawing his scales here--I knew he'd be a pixel monster already, the scales would only make it worse! But, he does have scales similar to my other dragons, like Crimson or Alaviron)

I haven't really listened to any of Birkin's themes. The tyrant one just grabbed my attention when I was watching a playthrough.

Tyrant (Mr. X) is so cool too, he's just a great thing to have in a game, where he constantly chases you. I hope they remake Nemesis

Ah yeah I do get that. The 3DS just isn't the best at showing the details with how small it really is. xP I think what helps me is to use bold colors and contrast to ensure the details I make actually stand out.
You still do a fantastic job with all those details of the individual scales. I'm not sure, but I feel like it may help you out to focus on which details you want to stand out most, and then just work on those areas. Not only will you save a lot of time, but the details that matter will be more noticeable. The simpler the big picture is, the more the details stand out. x)

No, if a pack was only Warrior ranked, their horns wouldn't change. I left a post for Alk on a similar thing:

"A Beta could attack a Warrior, but even that is risky for the small guys/girls. A one on one is almost certain death, unless the Warrior is very weak/injured. Even then, it's a gamble, a risk.

Betas will often form their own packs and are usually the ones responsible for large numbered packs. By doing this, they form a bond and learn who is the best suited leader. One or two Betas will take over leading.

When their numbers grow big and their pack bond strong, is when Alphas need to be on high alert. These low ranked packs will ambush an Alpha, when the time is right. Usually waiting until the Alpha is secluded or they've picked off a good chunk of the Alpha's pack.

The Alpha then, would be in a fight for his/her life. Literally. If the Alpha dies, then whoever killed him/her. Receives his/her rank.

As I said above, sometimes Beta packs have 2 Leaders, the leaders will usually fight to the death and the victorious one will give the Alpha the killing bite.

The first thing that happens is the horns of the Beta fall off. Over the course of the next week, he/she will rapidly grow in size and strength. At the end of the week, the new Alpha is in full size, strength and his/her powers are much more brutal.

And the new Alpha will have its own pack, that's why they bond as Betas. The Betas will be loyal to the Alpha to the end.

Only a few Niironox have an instinct to be Alpha, all Niironox have an instinct to follow someone. They're naturally social creatures and without it, would likely waste away and die."

That should also answer why there's such a huge size difference, Beta's are more cowardly and submissive. If a Beta feels its Alpha is weak or unfit, the Beta /won't/ try and kill it, instead it would likely leave, to find a stronger pack.

That doesn't apply for all though

In the case of Rea, her two Beta's are loyal to her until the very end. Even though she failed to save her pack, to protect them, and it's caused her to have confidence issues. They still love and respect her, and would follow her to the ends of the Earth.

Also I like big and powerful, I wanted the Alpha's to be large and in charge. Alpha's naturally have an intimidating aura, best seen in Alpha Males, the Males can silence another or come across intimidating with simple eye contact.

It actually benefits a pack to have small members,

I'm gonna use Rea a lot as an example.

Her pack was found at the edge of a forest, near a vast ocean and they'd often sun bathe on the rocks. Niironox usually set up a territory and don't leave it, unless forced too.

Smaller Niironox are perfect for moving undetected, they're small and light on their paws. Rea's pack would cake themselves in dark mud and patrol their borders like this. If they sensed someone coming, they'd hide themselves amongst the rocks or trees and look like boulders. Their tail lights would also be caked in mud, to help hide themselves.

Warriors are designed to be a balance between Alpha and Beta, they aren't as strong as Alpha's and aren't as weak as Beta's. They're the middle ground, they would be more combat based, in charge of keeping intruders out and the territory safe.

Beta's aren't combat designed, at least, not well. They can fight if need be, but are stronger in large numbers (as said in the Beta pack example). They would patrol the territory, day and night, taking turns with other Beta's. Once an outsider was spotted, they'd use howls/yips/other canine sounds to alert the pack.

Also a little note, the horns for all ranks, serve a purpose. They aren't just for decoration~ They hone a Niironoxes senses, I'll explain later~
