[Once upon a Dream~]

His name was once Nicholas or by his mother side he was called Nicholas Dream, Nicholas was a half Blood, his mother was a silver Dreamer as his father was a human.

Been a half Blood can have it's quirks with Dreamers, aside from his Dreamer forum, he only could shift to a human form, his ability in Elemental Magic was also more limited then a pear blood but Nicholas summoning was quite impressive.

Nicholas grew up in the same time frame As the Dreamer twins ( Faye and Faolan) he battle alongside them against Soledormir and his minions for hundreds of years.

He knew the twins quite well and was sometimes Faolan drinking buddy ( but his was more just social drinking )
When Faye and Faolan first established what would be called the Shadows hunters,
Nicholas was one of the first to be recruited, along with Starlight Dreamer and many others from all different species,
Nicholas swore to protect the land of dreams and her people until his dying breath and he stay true to that...

It wasn't long before they called him a captain but things got ugly in the land of dreams... Soledormir unleashed Malice and the curse of the nightmare across the realms, many Dreamers got sick and Nicholas was one of them...

Because he was part Human the curse work more slowly in Nicholas and it would have likely just killed him but that didn't happen...

The Dreamer Prince who was left was doing all that he could to save his people from certain extermination, and he came up with was the Fairfin and the Dreamer lanterns but he needed time to make them work...

Soledormir attempted to stop this from happening, he sent Lamia who at that time was a puppet of Soledormir like all Nightmares we're.

Nicholas and his group stood against Lamia and the horde of Nightmares, he fought to let the prince and those who could save his people escape...Nicholas and the other sacrifice themselves, they lost the battle but it wasn't the end, not for him...
Nicholas was already sick and was expecting death but Soledormir had other plans, he had Lamia impaled him with her chains and slowly truned him into a Nightmare...

[ a Dreamer no more...]

As a young Nightmare he didn't come up with a name until he killed his first victim...the woman Nicholas was betroth to... With her death he gave himself the name 'Shattered dream' because Nicholas and his fianceé dream of a life together was shattered and would never come to be...

Shattered Dream got his Title: Widowmaker because his hunting tactic...he has a habit of hunting couples, he looks for individuals who are infatuated or passionate with the one another and then kills one of them in front of the other person....it isn't a quick death either, he usually let the other go to live there life without the one they loved, shattering their dreams forever....

Shattered Dream will also do this with young parents, killing there children and shattering their dreams for their children future...

What makes what Shattered Dream does even worse is that any person he kills their faces he copied on his Ice but this is used more than a trophy...Shattered summoning ability let him make a minion out of dark magic with the appearance of the person who was copied on his ice... They are nothing but Husk an empty shell that Shattered has to pull the strings to do what he wants...he using these doppelgangers the torment they people who he left alive... thankfully He can only make a few of these at a time but in his tormented form he can make hundreds...

Shattered and Malice went head-to-head as tormented one time, Shattered soon discovered is doppelgangers would not work against Malice dark fog, anything that was killed in the fog become Mal and Shattered could not copy them, making his most devastating ability useless against the Nightmare king or at least in his tormented form, Shattered barely escaped with his life but Mal has cut off a few limbs on more then one occasion.

It didn't take him long to plan a strategy, though it is one that he regrets... Nightmare gain more power by killing stronger Nightmares...Malice was obviously too strong for him so he set his sights on the second strongest Nightmare, Lamia, he had challenged her throughout the centuries before but he had hope to kill her... unknown to him that the closer it gets for Soledormir to free himself Lamia got even more insane.

When Soledormir made Malice curate Lamia, the chaos King use some if his magic to try and mess with Lamia contract, at the time it didn't do much because Shoji haven't betrayed her father yet but fast forward some thousand years, Shoji betrayed her father and was in hiding and Sol power is slowly seeping into the world's he tainted, equal, Lamia got even more crazy.

Shattered challenged Lamia but he failed to kill her, and the end result was something he wasn't expecting.

Shattered want nothing to do with Lamia or his son, if he could he kill Judas but he can't with Lamia around.

Because Shattered is the father to Judas, Malice since the abnormality in his web and that it connected to both Shattered and Lamia... Malice send out a signal to all husks, omega's and betas ( are a 50/50) to kill Shattered, Lamia and Judas if they since them in the area, the Nightmares who received this signal will attack these three on site, disregarding their own lives...
omega's and betas don't stand much a chance against Ancient but even a swarm of ants can be deadly...
Lamia has it a little easier then Shattered, she the second powerfulest Nightmare and even without having husk or Omega serving her pack she still has alphys and some bettas, she was clear in picking him as for Shattered he only the fourth strongest ancient and has no hope in beating Malice and now on the run for his life, challenged Lamia is out of the question. Lamia got rid of her closest Frost Nightmare rival.

Shattered has gone into hiding, but he know death will find him sooner than later now... and there nothing he can do to stop the wrath of Malice from coming for him...he can only try to run as long as he can...

Wow, he's a really dark character... I wonder if he'll be appearing in Skeys? e,e

Ahh yeah that makes sense. I guess we have plenty enough villains to deal with as it is XDD He's pretty cool to see though

Re: Oooh, that's interesting. And yeah, there are plenty couples to prey on in the candidates group X'D For now I think we don't need to think about sending more Ancients to them, but if we need new conflict in the future then that can do xD

Mmmmmm poor Nicholas, I feel so bad for all the Dreamers who've become Nightmares, so saded ;~;
