they are very laidback and surprisingly talkative upon knowing them well, and tend to say things such as "hey, nerd" or "wazzup". they do have a rather nasty temper, however.
they cannot actually float. rather, they use their tendrils to support themselves, somewhat shuffling from place to place, and they have wings that let them actually fly when necessary.
they are unable to switch forms in any way, being artificially made and also fairly robotic. their monitor shuts off when they go unconscious in any way, including being manually shut off via some sorta switch on the back of it's body, under that cloak.
telematter has a strange tag on it's cloak; a symbol, and the number four. the symbol can be translated to the letter "y", from a somewhat obscure, written dark matter language that the scientist learned. the tag thus reads "Y4".
there are other robotic dark matter, being Z8, a friend of tele's, and X5, who has gone missing.

others exist, numbering from I to 8, but other than the three listed before, these robots are defective, either "dead" or mindless and hostile.
all of them were put into a stasis by the scientist, who fled from previous shady organization and set his laboratory on lockdown to keep his creations safe. he was more friends with them and didnt want to use them for negative purposes. sadly, he's dead.
the stasis lasted for a while, which made the robots somewhat amnesiac in a few aspects.
