Things in the background, settings, rooms, and places have always been a struggle for me as well. Can always maybe try drawing rooms in real life in whatever perspective you view them. Whether sitting, or in the middle, laying down, etc. Think I need to actually try that myself now that I say that. Good image for starting out though. Better than anything I've done room wise I think. Only thing you can do from here is improve ^u^ <3
